Abstract
The present invention relates to methods for predicting the response to treatment with an agonist of TLR7, or an agonist of TLR8 or an anti-cancer agent for treating cancer, in particular non-small cell lung cancer comprising the step of detecting the expression of TLR7 or TLR8 in cancer cells of said patient.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for predicting the response to treatment with an anti-cancer agent in a patient suffering from cancer, comprising the step of detecting the expression of TLR7 or TLR8 in cancer cells of said patient, wherein the presence of TLR7 or TLR8 in cancer cells is indicative of poor response to treatment.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said method is A for predicting the response to a combined treatment with an anti-cancer agent and an agonist of TLR7, comprising the step of detecting the expression of TLR7 in cancer cells of said patient, wherein the presence of TLR7 in cancer cells in indicative of poor response to treatment.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said method is for predicting response to a combined treatment with an anti-cancer agent and an agonist of TLR8 in a patient suffering from cancer, comprising the step of detecting the expression of TLR8 in cancer cells of said patient, wherein the presence of TLR8 in cancer cells is indicative of poor response to treatment.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said method is for predicting the response to treatment with an agonist of TLR7 in a patient suffering from cancer, comprising the step of detecting the expression of TLR7 in cancer cells of said patient, wherein the presence of TLR7 in cancer cells is indicative of poor response to treatment.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said method is for predicting the response to treatment with an agonist of TLR8 in a patient suffering from cancer, comprising the step of detecting the expression of TLR8 in cancer cells of said patient, wherein the presence of TLR8 in cancer cells is indicative of poor response to treatment.
. A method for treating a cancer patient comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of an agonist of TLR7 and wherein said patient does not express TLR7 in cancer cells.
. A method for treating a cancer patient comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of an agonist of TLR8 and wherein said patient does not express TLR8 in cancer cells.
. The method of claim 7 wherein said agonist is used in combination with an anti-cancer agent.
- 15 . (canceled)
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.
. The method of claim 2 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.
. The method of claim 3 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.
. The method of claim 4 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.
. The method of claim 5 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.
. The method of claim 6 wherein said agonist is used in combination with an anti-cancer agent.
. The method of claim 6 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.
. The method of claim 7 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, melanoma, and lymphoma.Cited by (0)
