Abstract
Biologically active extracts of one or more Vigna marina (Burm.) Merr., Cocos nucifera L., or Terminalia catappa L, and compositions one or more of the extracts are described. The invention also provides therapeutic and cosmetic uses of the extracts and compositions, in particular for promoting wound healing and for the treatment of skin disorders.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A biologically active extract comprising a combination of an extract of Cocos nucifera L and at least one extract selected from Vigna marina (Burm.) Merr., and Terminalia catappa L.
2 . An extract of claim 1 , wherein the extract is derived from one or more of a leaf, vine, bean, husk or nut.
3 . An extract of claim 1 , wherein the Cocos nucifera L. extract is derived from a husk or nut.
4 . An extract of claim 1 , wherein the Cocos nucifera L. extract is Cocos nucifera L oil.
5 . An extract of claim 1 , wherein the extract is prepared using and/or comprises, a plant based oil, a hydrocarbon and/or an alcohol.
6 . An extract of claim 5 , wherein the plant based oil is derived from seeds or fruit.
7 . An extract of claim 6 , wherein the plant based oil is Cocos nucifera L. oil.
8 . An extract of claim 7 , wherein the Cocos nucifera L oil is virgin Cocos nucifera L. oil, refined Cocos nucifera L. oil, hydrogenated Cocos nucifera L. oil or fractionated Cocos nucifera L. oil.
9 . A composition comprising an extract of claim 1 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent and/or excipient.
10 . a composition of claim 9 , wherein the composition is applied topically to the skin or to an epidermal appendage of a subject.
11 . A composition or claim 10 , wherein the epidermal appendage is hair, hair follicles, nails, or cuticles.
12 . A composition of claim 9 for the treatment of a wound and/or the therapeutic an/or cosmetic promotion of wound healing, wherein the wound is a surgical or non-surgical wound.
13 . A composition of claim 12 , wherein the non-surgical wound is a burn, graze, cut or abrasion.
