Multiple waistband garment

Abstract

In some implementations, a garment includes a first waistband having a first size for supporting the garment on a wearer, a second waistband having a second size that is greater than the first size, and a garment panel between and attached to the first waistband and the second waistband, such that the second waistband is configured to be supported by and separated from the first waistband during wearing of the garment by the wearer.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A garment, comprising:
 a first waistband having a first size for supporting the garment on a wearer;   a second waistband having a second size that is greater than the first size; and   a garment panel between and attached to the first waistband and the second waistband, such that the second waistband is configured to be supported by and separated from the first waistband during wearing of the garment by the wearer.   
     
     
         2 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first waistband and the second waistband are separated by a distance across the garment panel. 
     
     
         3 . The garment of  claim 2 , wherein the distance is such that the second waistband rests below buttocks of a wearer during wearing of the garment. 
     
     
         4 . The garment of  claim 2 , wherein the distance is such that the second waistband rests on buttocks of a wearer during wearing of the garment. 
     
     
         5 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first waistband comprises an opening and a fastener for selectively closing the opening. 
     
     
         6 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein a fly is formed in the first waistband and at least a portion of the garment panel. 
     
     
         7 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein a faux fly is provided below the second waistband. 
     
     
         8 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising a leg panel that is attached to the second waistband. 
     
     
         9 . The garment of  claim 8 , wherein the leg panel comprises jeans or trousers. 
     
     
         10 . The garment of  claim 8 , wherein the leg panel comprises a skirt. 
     
     
         11 . The garment of  claim 8 , further comprising at least one pocket provided in the leg panel. 
     
     
         12 . The garment of  claim 8 , further comprising at least one faux pocket provided in the leg panel. 
     
     
         13 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one pocket provided in the garment panel. 
     
     
         14 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one faux pocket provided in the garment panel. 
     
     
         15 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the garment panel comprises an under-garment material, such that the garment panel appears as a portion of an under-garment. 
     
     
         16 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the garment panel comprises a pattern, such that the garment panel appears as a portion of an under-garment.
