Installation system and door positioning device for appliances
Abstract
A panel system includes a first panel and a second panel coupled together. The second panel includes a first aperture configured to hold a first support element, a second aperture configured to hold a first fastener, and a third aperture configured to hold a second fastener. A first bracket is coupled to the first panel, extends laterally outward from the first panel, and includes a fourth aperture and a fifth aperture formed therethrough. A second bracket is coupled to the first panel, extends laterally outward from the first panel, and includes a sixth aperture formed therethrough. The fourth aperture is configured to accept the first support element therethrough. The fifth aperture is configured to not accept the first fastener therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel. The sixth aperture is configured to not accept the second fastener therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel.

5 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the fourth aperture and the fifth aperture have the same size and shape.
6 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the fourth aperture is smaller than the fifth aperture.
7 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein a largest dimension of the first fastener perpendicular to a direction of insertion of the first fastener through the fifth aperture is the same as a largest dimension of the first support element perpendicular to a direction of insertion of the first support element through the fourth aperture.
8 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first panel is a drawer panel.
9 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first panel is a door panel.
10 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first side wall is a right side wall and the second side wall is a left side wall.
11 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first side wall is a top side wall and the second side wall is a bottom side wall.
12 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first side of the first bracket further includes an additional aperture formed therethrough and configured to not accept a fastener therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel.
13 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first side of the first bracket further includes an additional aperture formed therethrough and configured to accept a support element therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel.
14 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first side of the second bracket further includes an additional aperture formed therethrough and configured to accept a support element therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel.
15 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the first support element is selected from the group consisting of a screw, a pin, a hook, and a projection.
16 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein the fourth aperture is elongated in a dimension to provide adjustment of a position of the first support element therein, and wherein the fifth aperture is elongated in the dimension to provide adjustment of a position of the first fastener therein.
17 . The panel system of claim 1 , wherein a second side of the first bracket is perpendicular to the first side of the first bracket, and further wherein the second side of the first bracket is coupled to the first side wall of the first panel.
18 . The panel system of claim 17 , wherein a cam is mounted to the second side of the first bracket and configured to provide adjustment of a position of the second panel relative to the first panel when the second panel is coupled to the first panel.
19 . An access system, comprising:
a drawer configured to be mounted to a body and to move relative to the body; a first panel mounted to the drawer, the first panel comprising a first side wall and a second side wall; a second panel coupled to the first panel, the second panel comprising a first aperture formed therein and configured to hold a first support element, a second aperture formed therein and configured to hold a first fastener, and a third aperture formed therein and configured to hold a second fastener; a first bracket coupled to the first side wall of the first panel, a first side of the first bracket extending laterally outward from the first side wall, wherein the first side of the first bracket includes a fourth aperture and a fifth aperture formed therethrough; and a second bracket coupled to the second side wall of the first panel, a first side of the second bracket extending laterally outward from the second side wall, wherein the first side of the second bracket includes a sixth aperture formed therethrough, wherein the fourth aperture is configured to accept the first support element therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel, wherein the fifth aperture is configured to not accept the first fastener therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel; wherein the sixth aperture is configured to not accept the second fastener therethrough when the second panel is coupled to the first panel.
