Abstract
According to an embodiment of the invention, products and processes are disclosed for receiving, via a point-of-sale terminal that is not a vending machine, an indication of a set of products which a customer desires to purchase. At least one product is offered to the customer via the point-of-sale terminal, and an acceptance of the offer is received. Thereafter a request to receive the product is received. A unit of the product is dispensed via the vending machine.

1 . A method comprising:
receiving, via a point-of-sale (POS) terminal in communication with a vending machine, an indication of a set of products which a customer desires to purchase; offering, via the POS terminal, a product to the customer based on at least one of a previously purchased product; receiving, via the POS terminal, an acceptance of the offered product; facilitating payment of a predetermined amount for the accepted product at the POS terminal in communication with an RFID device, the predetermined amount is based on at least one of the previously purchased product by the customer, wherein the predetermined amount is relatively less than or equal to a unit price of the accepted product; and dispensing, via the vending machine, the accepted product based on the RFID device being in communication with the vending machine.Cited by (0)
