Abstract

Methods and systems enable healthcare providers to treat a medical condition of a patient using a processor that may receive assessment data of the patient, which may include a health history and results from at least one diagnostic test. Treatment of the medical condition may also include using the processor to evaluate the received assessment data for identifying a medical condition of the patient and a metabolite that affects the medical condition, to identify a probiotic that regulates the metabolite, to develop a formula for a personalized medication that includes the identified probiotic based on the identified probiotic and the patient's medical records, and to send the formula for the personalized medication to a manufacturing site server for use in manufacturing the personalized medication.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method for treating a medical condition of a patient, comprising:
 receiving, by a processor, assessment data of the patient, wherein the assessment data comprise a health history and results from at least one diagnostic test; evaluating, by the processor, the received assessment data to identify a medical condition of the patient; evaluating, by the processor, the received assessment data to identify a metabolite that affects the medical condition; identifying, by the processor, a probiotic that regulates the metabolite, wherein the probiotic comprises at least one living species of microorganism; developing a formula, by the processor, for a personalized medication based on the identified probiotic and medical records for the patient, wherein the personalized medication includes the identified probiotic; and sending the formula for the personalized medication for the patient to a manufacturing site server for use in manufacturing the personalized medication.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein evaluating, by the processor, the received assessment data to identify a metabolite that affects the medical condition comprises:
 obtaining, by the processor, from the received assessment data a measured level of the metabolite; comparing, by the processor, the measured level of the metabolite to an accepted normal value; and determining, by the processor, that the metabolite affects the medical condition when the measured level of the metabolite exceeds the accepted normal value.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the health history comprises data selected from the group consisting of:
 a previously-determined human flora composition of the patient, epidemiologic information, familial information, genetic information, geographic information and ethnic information.

         4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the medical condition is selected from the group consisting of a drug allergy and a food allergy.

         5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the metabolite is produced by a living organism hosted by the patient.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the metabolite is produced by body cells of the patient.

         7 . A server, comprising:
 a server processor; a network interface coupled to the server processor and configured to connect the server processor to a network; a memory device storing computer readable instructions which when executed by the server processor cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, via the network, assessment data of a patient, wherein the assessment data comprise a health history and results from at least one diagnostic test;
 evaluating the received assessment data to identify a medical condition of the patient;
 evaluating the received assessment data to identify a metabolite that affects the medical condition of the patient;
 identifying a probiotic for administration to the patient that regulates the metabolite, wherein the probiotic comprises at least one living species of microorganism;
 developing a formula for a personalized medication based on the identified formula and medical records for the patient, wherein the personalized medication includes the identified probiotic; and
 sending the formula for the personalized medication for the patient to a manufacturing site server for use in manufacturing the personalized medication.

         8 . The server of claim 7 , wherein the memory device storing computer readable instructions which when executed by the server processor cause the processor to perform the operation of evaluating the received assessment data to identify the metabolite that affects the medical condition such that the processor performs operations further comprising:
 obtaining from the assessment data a measured level of the metabolite; comparing the measured level of the metabolite to an accepted normal value; and determining that the metabolite affects the medical condition when the measured level of the metabolite exceeds the accepted normal value.

         9 . The server of claim 7 , wherein the metabolite is produced by a living organism hosted by the patient.

         10 . The server of claim 7 , wherein the metabolite is produced by body cells of the patient.
