Abstract

A method includes receiving user input at a computing device. The user input indicates a selection of an image at a purchasable item displayed via a first display element of a plurality display elements of a representation sent to a display device associated with the computing device. The first display element is associated with a first vendor. The method includes retrieving information that identifies the purchasable item via the computing device. The method includes querying, via the computing device, a plurality of devices associated with vendors to identify other vendors in addition to the first vendor that sell the purchasable item based on the information. The method also includes identifying, via the computing device, a second vendor of the other vendors that satisfies a condition.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system comprising:
 a processor; a display device coupled to the processor; a memory in communication with the processor, the memory including instructions executable by the processor to perform operations including:
 receiving user input indicating a selection of an image of a purchasable item displayed via a first display element of a plurality of display elements of a representation sent to the display device, wherein the first display element is associated with a first vendor;
 retrieving information that identifies the purchasable item;
 querying a plurality of devices associated with a plurality of vendors to identify other vendors in addition to the first vendor that sell the purchasable item based on the information; and
   identifying a second vendor of the other vendors based on the second vendor satisfying a condition.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the condition includes the second vendor selling the purchasable item for a price that satisfies a price threshold, the second vendor having a shipping cost that satisfies a shipping cost threshold, the second vendor able to ship the purchasable item in a time that satisfies a shipping time threshold, or combinations thereof.

         3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations include sending a display to the display device, wherein the display identifies the purchasable item, the first vendor, the second vendor, first purchase information for the purchasable item associated with the first vendor, and second purchase information for the purchasable item associated with the second vendor.

         4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the operations include:
 receiving second user input identifying a particular vendor, selected from the first vendor and the second vendor, based on the display; and sending a purchase order for the purchasable item to the particular vendor.

         5 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the display includes a window that is separate from the representation.

         6 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the display comprises a shopping cart list.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations include:
 determining a particular vendor of the first vendor and the second vendor based on a setting; and sending a purchase order for the purchasable item to the particular vendor.

         8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the setting is a lowest total cost setting.

         9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second vendor is associated with a second display element of the plurality of display elements.

         10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second vendor is not associated with any of the plurality of display elements.

         11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is a component of a media device.

         12 . A method comprising:
 receiving user input at a computing device, wherein the user input indicates a selection of an image of a purchasable item displayed via a first display element of a plurality display elements of a representation sent to a display device associated with the computing device, wherein the first display element is associated with a first vendor; retrieving information that identifies the purchasable item via the computing device; querying, via the computing device, a plurality of devices associated with vendors to identify other vendors in addition to the first vendor that sell the purchasable item based on the information; and identifying, via the computing device, a second vendor of the other vendors based on the second vendor satisfying a condition.

         13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the condition includes the second vendor selling the purchasable item for a price that satisfies a price threshold, the second vendor having a shipping cost that satisfies a shipping cost threshold, the second vendor able to ship the purchasable item in a time that satisfies a shipping time threshold, or combinations thereof.

         14 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
 determining, via the computing device, a particular vendor of the first vendor and the second vendor based on a setting; and automatically sending a purchase order for the purchasable item to the particular vendor from the computing device.

         15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the setting includes identification of acceptable vendors, identification of unacceptable vendors, a pre-approved purchase price, pre-defined payment information, or combinations thereof.

         16 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising sending a display to the display device, wherein the display identifies the purchasable item, the first vendor, the second vendor, first purchase information for the purchasable item associated with the first vendor, and second purchase information for the purchasable item associated with the second vendor.

         17 . A computer-readable device including instructions executable by a processor to perform operations comprising:
 receiving user input, wherein the user input indicates a selection of an image of a purchasable item displayed via a first display element of a plurality display elements of a representation sent to a display device associated with the computing device, wherein the first display element is associated with a first vendor; retrieving information that identifies the purchasable item; querying a plurality of devices associated with vendors to identify other vendors in addition to the first vendor that sell the purchasable item based on the information; and identifying a second vendor of the other vendors based on the second vendor satisfying a condition.

         18 . The computer-readable hardware device of claim 17 , wherein the condition includes the second vendor selling the purchasable item for a price that satisfies a price threshold, the second vendor having a shipping cost that satisfies a shipping cost threshold, the second vendor able to ship the purchasable item in a time that satisfies a shipping time threshold, or combinations thereof.

         19 . The computer-readable hardware device of claim 17 , wherein the operations further include sending a display to the display device, wherein the display identifies the purchasable item, the first vendor, the second vendor, first purchase information for the purchasable item associated with the first vendor, and second purchase information for the purchasable item associated with the second vendor.

         20 . The computer-readable hardware device of claim 19 , wherein the operations include:
 receiving second user input identifying a particular vendor, selected from the first vendor and the second vendor, and sending a purchase order for the purchasable item to the particular vendor.
