Abstract
Disclosed are systems and methods that time correlate input at a point of entry of consumer data of least two identifications for products, prescriptions, vouchers, or codes, uses positive correlation determinations for triggering output of predetermined information. The time correlation of identifications may be used to build a time correlation database, and thereafter use that database for targeted communications. Related inventions include an intelligent Y cable or the like to filter data transmitted from a scanner at a point of entry of consumer data, and a novel POS CS configured to receive bar codes that would otherwise cause the POS CS to enter an error condition.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system for providing, during a current transaction, a coupon voucher that results in provision of an associated coupon for use in a subsequent transaction, the system comprising:
a computer system comprising one or more physical processors programmed by computer program instructions that, when executed, cause the computer system to: obtain a product identification in association with the current transaction; identify a voucher identification based on the product identification, wherein the identified voucher identification is to be provided to a user and, when received back from the user, causes the associated coupon to be provided; determine whether an end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred; and communicate the voucher identification responsive to a determination that the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the computer system is further programmed to:
receive the voucher identification back from the user; and provide the associated coupon to the user responsive to the voucher identification received back from the user.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the associated coupon is provided after the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the voucher identification is received back from the user via a text message from a user device associated with the user.
5 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the voucher identification is communicated via a machine readable code, and wherein the voucher identification is received back from the user via a point of sale computer system at which the machine readable code is read.
6 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the voucher identification is received back from the user via a point of sale computer system at which the voucher identification is manually input.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein to determine whether the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred, the computer system is further programmed to:
determine whether an end of transaction signal is received from a point of sale terminal.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein to determine whether the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred, the computer system is further programmed to:
obtain an assumed end of transaction rule that indicates one or more conditions in which an end of transaction is assumed to have occurred, wherein the end of transaction for the current transaction is determined to have occurred based on the assumed end of transaction rule.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more conditions comprises a predetermined time window in which no identifications have been received or when two or more identifications for related items have been received within a threshold time window.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein to determine whether the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred, the computer system is further programmed to:
determine whether a predefined wait period after identification of the voucher information has occurred.
11 . A computer implemented method for providing, during a current transaction, a coupon voucher that results in provision of an associated coupon for use in a subsequent transaction, the method being implemented by a computer system having one or more physical processors programmed by computer program instructions that, when executed, cause the computer system to perform the method, the method comprising:
obtaining, by the computer system, a product identification in association with the current transaction; identifying, by the computer system, a voucher identification based on the product identification, wherein the identified voucher identification is to be provided to a user and, when received back from the user, causes the associated coupon to be provided; determining, by the computer system, whether an end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred; and communicating, by the computer system, the voucher identification responsive to a determination that the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprising:
receiving the voucher identification back from the user; and providing the associated coupon to the user responsive to the voucher identification received back from the user.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the associated coupon is provided after the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred.
14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the voucher identification is received back from the user via a text message from a user device associated with the user.
15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the voucher identification is communicated via a machine readable code, and wherein the voucher identification is received back from the user via a point of sale computer method at which the machine readable code is read.
16 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the voucher identification is received back from the user via a point of sale computer system at which the voucher identification is manually input.
17 . The method of claim 11 , wherein determining whether the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred comprises:
determining whether an end of transaction signal is received from a point of sale terminal.
18 . The method of claim 11 , wherein determining whether the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred comprises:
obtaining an assumed end of transaction rule that indicates one or more conditions in which an end of transaction is assumed to have occurred, wherein the end of transaction for the current transaction is determined to have occurred based on the assumed end of transaction rule.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the one or more conditions comprises a predetermined time window in which no identifications have been received or when two or more identifications for related items have been received within a threshold time window.
20 . The method of claim 11 , wherein determining whether the end of transaction for the current transaction has occurred further comprises:
determining whether a predefined wait period after identification of the voucher information has occurred.Cited by (0)
