 input selections to optionally select one or more external components that may or may not retrieve additional content such that whether the additional content is received is a function of a remotely executed application associated with one or more external components;

 providing one or more applications enabling the user to provide commerce functionally to the customized web site; and
 publishing the customized web site template, wherein the published web site includes versions for viewing using a web browser and further viewing with a mobile device.

         2 . The server device of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the content is associated with a vertical market solution and includes site navigations determined suitable for a specific industry.

         3 . The server device of claim 1 , wherein generating the customized web site further includes employing at least one software module usable by the user to generate pages of the web site and to maintain the navigational links of the web site independent of a change to an underlying structure of the web site independent of how the user changes the underlying structure of the web site.

         4 . The server device of claim 1 , wherein the business information is associated with a vertical market solution.

         5 . The server device of claim 1 , wherein at least one software module provides the user with a questions interface that allows the user to answer questions that result in selections in creating the web site template.

         6 . The server device of claim 1 , wherein generating the web site further includes enabling a change to a selected page with the web site to be automatically incorporated within each page below the selected page within a hierarchy of pages within the web site.

         7 . An apparatus configured to generate a web site, comprising:
 a network communications device for sending and receiving data over a network; and a central processing unit that interacts with the network communications device, and performs actions, including:
 providing to a user one or more user interfaces over the network;
 receiving content identifying data over the network;
 in response, providing dynamic content information related to the received content identifying data for user editing;
 generating customized content information using the dynamic content information and user edited information;
 determining one or more characteristics for one or more items of merchandise to be sold on the web site, wherein the one or more characteristics include at least one of an image, category or price;
 generating one or more pages of the web site as a function of the determined characteristics; and
 presenting the generated web site over the network, wherein the web site includes an indication of merchandise for sale, a shopping cart for displaying selected merchandise, and an interface for collecting payment.

         8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the web site further includes at least one indication to select countries in which the web site is useable as an online store to provide products or service.

         9 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the shopping cart is configured based in part on a number of products within the shopping cart.

         10 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein at least some of the content is associated with a vertical market solution and includes site navigations determined suitable for a specific industry.

         11 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein generating one or more pages of the web site further comprises maintaining navigational links of the web site independent of a change to an underlying structure of the web site independent of how the user changes the underlying structure of the web site.

         12 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein at least some of the content information includes content predefined using an industry based solution that is categorized by a business type.

         13 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein presenting the web site further comprises transferring an image that is modified in accordance with an input selection chosen by the user to the web site, wherein the transferred image is capable of being commented on by viewers, and wherein the commenting triggers an event notification to the user.

         14 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium, carrying a set of computer program instructions, which when executed causes a computer device to perform actions to generate an image display site, including:
 receiving a first data entry from a site creator including a site description for an image display site; receiving a second data entry including a selection of one or more viewers authorized to access the site; accessing an image on a first device; presenting a user with input selections to modify the base color of the image; modifying the image in accordance with the input selection chosen by the user; transferring the modified image to the image display site, wherein the transferred image is capable of being commented on by the viewers, and wherein the commenting triggers an event notification to the user; and presenting the site including the modified image, wherein the site is capable of being automatically synchronized to one or more additional devices associated with the creator, and wherein the image is capable of being further modified using either the first device or the one or more additional devices.

         15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the actions further include:
 displaying within a graphical user interface input selections that enable modification of a display of the image, including modifying a size of the display of the image within a page within the image display site.

         16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein when a change is made to one or more pages within the image display site further comprise automatically maintaining a navigation through the image display site when the change is made, independent of a change to a look or feel, or content displayed.

         17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein modifying the image further includes providing for entry of text displayed within the image.

         18 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium, carrying a set of computer program instructions, which when executed causes a computer device to generate a web site by performing actions, including:
 receiving from a user a first data entry including input by the user of at least one category for presentation on a site; retrieving site data, including pre-created content based at least in part on the first data entry, wherein the site data includes a framework for presenting the pre-created content; receiving a second data entry including a selection of one or more images for presentation on the site, wherein the appearance of the one or more images is automatically adjusted based on the framework; presenting the user with input selections to optionally select one or more external components, wherein the one or more external components may or may not retrieve additional content, such that whether the additional content is received is a function of a remotely executed application associated with the external component; and publishing the site based on the framework, the pre-created content, the one or more images, and the additional content, wherein the site allows for one or more applications allowing for purchases, the one or more applications for purchases further calculating transaction fees based on the purchases; and wherein the site includes at least one application for storing information about a customer of the site, including products selected by the customer for purchase.
