Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method for generating spread-spectrum coded signals for transmission in a wireless communication system, and for efficient despreading at a receiver.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for communication, comprising:
generating at least one generalized Golay code from a concatenation of a plurality of constituent Golay codes; and spreading at least a portion of a data stream with the at least one generalized Golay code.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the generalized Golay code has a length N expressed by N=Σ k=1 K 2 M k where K is the number of constituent Golay codes, and K≧2, and where a k th constituent Golay code has length 2 M k .
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the number of constituent Golay codes is two.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the constituent Golay codes comprise at least one of Golay codes of a plurality of types, Golay codes constructed from a plurality of seed vectors, and Golay codes constructed from a plurality of delay vectors.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the portion of the data stream comprises at least one of said payload, header, and at least one field of a preamble.
6 . A method for communication, comprising:
receiving a spread data stream; and despreading at least a portion of the spread data stream using a generalized Golay correlator.
7 . The method in claim 6 , wherein the generalized Golay correlator comprises a plurality of efficient Golay correlators.
8 . The method in claim 6 , wherein the generalized Golay correlator is a serial generalized Golay correlator.
9 . The method in claim 6 , wherein the generalized Golay correlator is a parallel generalized Golay correlator.
10 . The method in claim 6 , wherein the portion of the data stream comprises at least one of said payload, header, and one or more fields of a preamble.
11 . An apparatus for communications, comprising:
a generator for generating at least one generalized Golay code from a concatenation of a plurality of constituent Golay codes; and a spreader for spreading at least a portion of a data stream with the at least one generalized Golay code.
12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the generalized Golay code has a length N expressed by N=Σ k=1 K 2 M k where K is the number of constituent Golay codes, and K≧2, and where a k th constituent Golay code has length 2 M k .
13 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the number of constituent Golay codes is two.
14 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the constituent Golay codes comprise at least one of Golay codes of a plurality of types, Golay codes constructed from a plurality of seed vectors, and Golay codes constructed from a plurality of delay vectors.
15 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the portion of the data stream comprises at least one of said payload, header, and at least one field of a preamble.
16 . An apparatus for communication, comprising:
a receiver for receiving a spread data stream; and a despreader comprising a generalized Golay correlator for despreading at least a portion of the spread data stream.
17 . The apparatus in claim 16 , wherein the generalized Golay correlator comprises a plurality of efficient Golay correlators.
18 . The apparatus in claim 16 , wherein the generalized Golay correlator is a serial generalized Golay correlator.
19 . The apparatus in claim 16 , wherein the generalized Golay correlator is a parallel generalized Golay correlator.
20 . The apparatus in claim 16 , wherein the portion of the data stream comprises at least one of said payload, header, and one or more fields of a preamble.Cited by (0)
