Abstract
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a foldable system for a simulated image-guided medical procedure. The system includes a foldable base having at least two portions connected by a hinge, each to support one of the guide tubes two or more guide tubes to guide operational tools and two or more tracking units to detect tracking information of the operational tools. The tracking units are configured to provide tracking information to a processor be used in an image guided computerized medical simulation.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A foldable system for a simulated image-guided medical procedure comprising:
two or more guide tubes to guide operational tools, a foldable base comprising two portions connected by a hinge, each to support one of the guide tubes; and two or more tracking units to detect tracking information of the operational tools, wherein the two or more tracking units are configured to provide tracking information to be used in an image guided computerized medical simulation.
2 . The foldable system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a processor to receive the tracking information and to provide a simulated image of the operational tool inside a simulated organ during the image-guided medical simulation: and a display to display the simulated image.
3 . The foldable system of claim 2 , further comprising:
two or more force feedback units, wherein the processor is to determine force to be applied by the force feedback units based on the tracking information.
4 . The foldable system of claim 2 , wherein the foldable base further comprises a communication interface configured to connect the two or more tracking units to the processor.
5 . The foldable system of claim 1 , wherein each one of the portions of the foldable base comprises at least one tracking unit and at least one force feedback unit.
6 . The foldable system of claim 1 , wherein the foldable base comprises a third portion and is arranged in a Y shape.
7 . The foldable system of claim 1 , further comprising another foldable base.
8 . A system for a simulated image-guided medical procedure comprising:
two guide tubes to guide operational tools, two base portions, separable from each other, each to support one of the guide tubes; a connector to connect and disconnect the two base portions; and two or more tracking units to detect tracking information of the operational tools, wherein the two or more tracking units are configured to provide tracking information to be used in an image guided computerized medical simulation.
9 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising:
a processor to receive the tracking information and to provide a simulated image of the operational tool inside a simulated organ during the image-guided medical simulation: and a display to display the simulated image.
10 . The system of claim 9 , further comprising:
two or more force feedback units, wherein the processor is to determine force to be applied by the force feedback units based on the tracking information.
11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein at least one of the base portions further comprises a communication interface configured to connect the two or more tracking units to the processor.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein each one of the base portions comprises at least one tracking unit and at least one force feedback unit.
13 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising a third base portion and is arranged in a Y shape.
14 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising additional two base portions, separable from each other.Cited by (0)
