Abstract

A system for managing merchant payment transaction processing accounts is provided. The system includes a merchant initialization system that receives merchant account data from a user, such as to provide a quote to the merchant for payment processing. A transaction pricing system receives the merchant account data and provides transaction pricing data for payment transaction processing in response to the merchant account information. User access to one or more merchant account pricing algorithms that are used generate the merchant account pricing data in response to the merchant account data is restricted to a predetermined set of users, so as to prevent unauthorized users from obtaining access to the merchant account pricing algorithms.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 18 . (canceled)

         19 . A system, comprising:
a memory operable to store a list of fee rules and a fee schedule; and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory and configured to: receive account data comprising business identifier type and a business identifier variable associated with the business identifier type; determine, based on the business identifier variable, one or more rules for calculating processing fees from the list of fee rules; calculate a standard processing fee based on the received business identifier variable, the determined one or more rules, and the fee schedule; receive a discount factor associated with the standard processing fee; and calculate an adjusted processing fee based on the discount factor and the standard processing fee.

20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the processor is configured to determine a specific processing fee to charge based on the business identifier variable.

21 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the processor is configured to generate a comparison of the adjusted processing fee and the standard processing fee.

22 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the fee schedule comprises one or more fee rates, each fee rate associated with a respective fee tier.

23 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the processor is further operable to display the standard processing fee.

24 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the processor is further operable to display a comparison of the adjusted processing fee and the standard processing fee.

25 . A method of calculating fees comprising:
receiving at a computing system account data comprising an merchant variable type and a merchant variable value associated with the merchant variable type; determining by the computing system, based on the merchant variable type, one or more rules for calculating asset management fees; calculating by the computing system a standard processing fee based on the received account data, the determined one or more rules, and a fee schedule; receiving at the computing system a discount factor associated with the standard processing fee; and calculating by the computing system an adjusted processing fee based on the discount factor and the standard processing fee.

26 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising determining a particular standard processing fee to charge based on the merchant variable type.

27 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising generating a comparison of the adjusted processing fee and the standard processing fee.

28 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the fee schedule comprises one or more fee rates, each fee rate associated with a respective fee tier.

29 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising displaying the standard processing fee.

30 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising displaying a comparison of the adjusted processing fee and the standard processing fee.

31 . Logic embedded in a computer readable medium and operable when executed by a processor to:
receive account data comprising a business variable type and a value associated with the business variable type; determine, based on the business variable type, one or more rules for calculating transaction fees; calculate a standard transaction fee based on the received account data, the determined one or more rules, and a fee schedule; receive a discount factor associated with the standard transaction fee; and calculate an adjusted transaction fee based on the discount factor and the standard transaction fee.

32 . The logic of claim 31 , further operable when executed by a processor to determine a particular transaction fee to charge based on the business variable type.

33 . The logic of claim 31 , further operable when executed by a processor to generate a comparison of the adjusted transaction fee and the standard transaction fee.

34 . The logic of claim 31 , wherein the fee schedule comprises one or more fee rates, each fee rate associated with a respective fee tier.

35 . The logic of claim 31 , further operable when executed by a processor to display the standard transaction fee.

36 . The logic of claim 31 , further operable when executed by a processor to display a comparison of the adjusted transaction fee and the standard transaction fee.
