Abstract
The present invention includes compositions and methods for treating arthritic joints found in patients with autoinflammation, e.g., systemic onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis, by administering at the site of inflammation a therapeutically effective amount of at least one agent that reduces or blocks the bioavailability of interleukin-1β.

27 . The method of claim 25 , where the patient has not be treated for SOJIA.
28 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the sera and PBMCs are incubated for six hours.
29 . The method of claim 25 , wherein IL-1β expression is measured using a microarray chip.
30 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising comparing the level of IL-1β expression to the level of expression in a pediatric healthy control.
