Abstract
A pad of labels and labels for use on store shelves in a retail environment. The pad of labels include labels with adhesive strips applied to a bottom surface of each label and a top laminate layer with a release coating applied to the top surface of each label. The labels in the pad are sequenced according to a store's planogram. When viewed in profile, an embodiment resembles an accordion-like shape when the uppermost label in the pad is gently pulled. Another embodiment resembles a spiral-like shape.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A pad of labels for use in a retail store comprising:
a plurality of labels removably attached to form the pad, each label comprising: a substrate having display information printed on a top surface thereof; an adhesive strip applied to a bottom surface of the label; and a release coating applied to the top surface of the label, wherein the adhesive strip is removably affixed to the release coating, wherein one or more labels is inverted with respect to a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels, and wherein the plurality of labels are sequenced according to the retail store's planogram.
2 . The pad of labels according to claim 1 , wherein one or more labels is capable of hanging from a store shelf with its display information readable in a left-to-right format, and
wherein when viewed from above, one or more labels in the pad of labels will appear upside-down from a viewer's perspective.
3 . The pad of labels according to claim 1 , wherein for one or more labels, the adhesive strip alternates in orientation with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
4 . The pad of labels according to claim 3 , wherein for one or more labels, the adhesive strip is oriented approximately 180° with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
5 . The pad of labels according to claim 1 , wherein each label is inverted with respect to a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
6 . The pad of labels according to claim 5 , wherein each label is capable of hanging from a store shelf with its display information readable in a left-to-right format, and
wherein when viewed from above, every other label in the pad of labels will appear upside-down from a viewer's perspective.
7 . The pad of labels according to claim 5 , wherein for each label, the adhesive strip alternates in orientation with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
8 . The pad of labels according to claim 7 , wherein for each label, the adhesive strip is oriented approximately 180° with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
9 . A pad of labels for use in a retail store comprising:
a plurality of labels removably attached to form the pad, each label comprising: a substrate having display information printed on a top surface thereof; an adhesive strip applied to a bottom surface of the label; and a release coating applied to the top surface of the label, wherein the adhesive strip is removably affixed to the release coating, wherein for one or more labels, the adhesive strip alternates in orientation with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels, and wherein the plurality of labels are sequenced according to the retail store's planogram.
10 . The pad of labels according to claim 9 , wherein for one or more labels, the adhesive strip is oriented approximately 180° with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
11 . The pad of labels according to claim 9 , wherein one or more labels is capable of hanging from a store shelf with its display information readable in a left-to-right format, and
wherein when viewed from above, one or more labels in the pad of labels will appear upside-down from a viewer's perspective.
12 . The pad of labels according to claim 9 , wherein for each label, the adhesive strip alternates in orientation with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
13 . The pad of labels according to claim 12 , wherein for each label, the adhesive strip is oriented approximately 180° with respect to an adhesive strip of a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
14 . The pad of labels according to claim 12 , wherein each label is capable of hanging from a store shelf with its display information readable in a left-to-right format, and
wherein when viewed from above, every other label in the pad of labels will appear upside-down from a viewer's perspective.
15 . A pad of labels for use in a retail store comprising:
a plurality of labels removably attached to form the pad, each label comprising: a substrate having display information printed on a top surface thereof; an adhesive strip applied to a bottom surface of the label; and a release coating applied to the top surface of the label, wherein the adhesive strip is removably affixed to the release coating, wherein one or more labels have an orientation that is rotated in-plane with respect to a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels, wherein the plurality of labels are sequenced according to the retail store's planogram.
16 . The pad of labels according to claim 15 , wherein the one or more labels having an orientation that is rotated in-plane with respect to a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels, have an orientation that is rotated in-plane clockwise with respect to a label directly below in the pad of labels.
17 . The pad of labels according to claim 15 , wherein the one or more labels having an orientation that is rotated in-plane with respect to a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels, have an orientation that is rotated in-plane counter-clockwise with respect to a label directly below in the pad of labels.
18 . The pad of labels according to claim 15 , wherein each label has an orientation that is rotated in-plane with respect to a label directly above or directly below in the pad of labels.
19 . The pad of labels according to claim 18 , wherein each label has an orientation that is rotated in-plane clockwise with respect to a label directly below in the pad of labels.
20 . The pad of labels according to claim 18 , wherein each label has an orientation that is rotated in-plane counter-clockwise with respect to a label directly below in the pad of labels.Cited by (0)
