Game system for providing video games
Abstract
One object is to provide a server device that enables accurate expectation of cost required to acquire a desired game content. In accordance with one aspect, a server device according to an embodiment of the present invention provides a game to one or more players via a network. This server device includes a won game content selecting unit configured to select one or more game contents as first won game contents from the game contents contained in a first deck allocated to a first player of the one or more players, an owned game content information storage unit configured to store the one or more won game contents in association with the first player identification information, and an updating unit configured to update the first deck by clearing the one or more first won game contents from the first deck.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A server for providing via a network a video game using game contents to a plurality of terminals each operated by a player, the server comprising:
a storage unit configured to store at least names associated with a limited plural number of game contents in decks each allocated to an individual player, rarity values of the game contents in the decks, and remaining numbers associated with individual ones of the game contents in the decks; a management unit configured to store, upon receiving from a terminal of a player a game content acquisition request for acquiring a game content to be selected by the server, a part or all of the game contents in the deck allocated to the player as game contents acquired by the player; an update unit configured to decrease the remaining number associated with the acquired game content and update the deck; and an information providing unit configured to provide, to the terminal of the player, in-deck contents information on the game contents remaining in the deck, wherein the in-deck contents information includes information indicating the name of the game content acquired by the player through the game content acquisition request, information indicating the name and the remaining number of the game content having a highest rarity value in the deck, and information indicating a total of the remaining numbers of the game contents in the deck.
2 . The server of claim 1 , wherein the storage unit stores total numbers associated with individual ones of the game contents in the deck in an initialized state; and the information on the game contents remaining in the deck provided by the information providing unit includes the remaining number and the total number of the game content having the highest rarity value in the deck allocated to the player and a total of the remaining numbers and the total numbers of the game contents in the deck allocated to the player.
3 . The server device of claim 1 , wherein the management unit specifies, in response to the game content acquisition request from the terminal of the player, one of a first algorithm and a second algorithm and stores, using the specified algorithm, a part or all of the game contents in the deck allocated to the player as game contents acquired by the player.
4 . The server device of claim 1 , further comprising: an initialization unit configured to initialize the deck when an initialization request is received from the terminal of the player after the game content having the highest rarity value in the deck allocated to the player is included in the acquired game contents.
5 . The server device of claim 1 further comprising an initialization unit configured to initialize the deck allocated to the player when an initialization request is received from the terminal of the player after a predetermined number of game content acquisition requests are received from the terminal of the player.
6 . A computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a server to provide via a network a video game using game contents to a plurality of terminals each operated by a player, the program causing a computer to perform the steps of:
storing at least names associated with a limited plural number of game contents in decks each allocated to an individual player, rarity values of the game contents in the decks, and remaining numbers associated with individual ones of the game contents in the decks; storing, upon receiving from a terminal of a player a game content acquisition request for acquiring a game content to be selected by the server, a part or all of the game contents in the deck allocated to the player as game contents acquired by the player; decreasing the remaining number associated with the acquired game content and updating the deck; and providing, to the terminal of the player, in-deck contents information on the game contents remaining in the deck, wherein the in-deck contents information includes information indicating the name of the game content acquired by the player through the game content acquisition request, information indicating the name and the remaining number of the game content having a highest rarity value in the deck, and information indicating a total of the remaining numbers of the game contents in the deck.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
