Abstract

A medical image system comprises a medical imaging apparatus, an injector, and a hospital management server having database. The injector has (a) communicating means for allowing communication with the hospital management server; and (b) a patient identifying portion which includes a detecting means for detecting patient-specific information and a means for transmitting the recognized information, further comprising (c) checking means being provided for at least one of the hospital management server and the injector or being provided as a separate apparatus, the means receives information transmitted from the patient identifying portion, and checks the received information to identify the patient.

         8 . A medical imaging system, comprising:
 a server disposed in a hospital information system;   a medical imaging apparatus configured to transmit tomographic image data and imaging condition data to the server; and   an injector comprising a piston driving mechanism and a control mechanism configured to inject at least contrast medium as chemical liquid into a patient, the piston driving mechanism holding a syringe comprising a cylinder and a syringe piston configured to move the syringe piston relative to the cylinder, and the control mechanism configured to control controlling the piston driving mechanism, wherein the injector comprises (a) a transmitter configured to transmit a chemical liquid injection data to the server,   wherein the server is configured to centrally process the tomographic image data, the imaging condition data of the imaging apparatus and the chemical liquid injection data.   
     
     
         9 . The medical system of  claim 8 , the injector further comprises a syringe-information receiver configured to read data of a data carrier attached to the syringe in a contactless manner. 
     
     
         10 . The medical system of  claim 9 , wherein the syringe-information receiver is an IC tag reader. 
     
     
         11 . The medical system of  claim 9 , wherein the syringe-information receiver is a barcode reader. 
     
     
         12 . The medical system of  claim 9 , wherein the syringe information receiver is configured to receive information selected from the group consisting of: (i) manufacturer of the syringe, (ii) volume of the syringe , (iii) product name, (iv) lot number of the syringe, (v) type of chemical liquid and (vi) concentration of the chemical liquid. 
     
     
         13 . The medical system of  claim 8 , further comprising a computer device with a monitor display, wherein the computer device is configured to display, on the monitor display, the tomographic image, the imaging condition data and the chemical liquid injection data. 
     
     
         14 . The medical system of  claim 13 , wherein said computer device is communicably connected to the server. 
     
     
         15 . The medical system of  claim 8 , wherein the chemical liquid is a contrast medium. 
     
     
         16 . The medical system of  claim 8 , wherein the injector is configured to hold two syringes, wherein a first syringe is configured to be filled with a contrast medium and a second syringe is configured to be filled with a saline. 
     
     
         17 . The medical system of  claim 8 , wherein the medical imaging apparatus is a CT scanner. 
     
     
         18 . A method of data processing in a medical imaging system, comprising the steps of:
 transmitting tomographic image data and imaging condition data from a medical imaging apparatus to a server disposed in a hospital information system;   transmitting a chemical liquid injection data from a chemical liquid injector to the server; and   processing centrally the tomographic image data, the imaging condition data of the imaging apparatus and the chemical liquid injection data at the server.
