. The method of claim 14 wherein said administration is carried out no more than monthly.
. The method of claim 12 wherein said effective amount is 10 to 350 mg/kg of body weight of said dog or cat.
. A pharmaceutical formulation for topically controlling ectoparasite infestations comprising spinetoram or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 17 wherein said spinetoram or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is present in said formulation in an amount greater than 0% to 90% by weight of the formulation.
. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 18 wherein said spinetoram or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is present in said formulation in an amount of 1 to 45% by weight of the formulation.
. The pharmaceutical formulation of claim 17 wherein said formulation is adapted for spot-on, plunge or spray dipping, jetting with a hand held spray or in a race, or as a back-line spray or pour-on administration.
