Abstract
Systems and related methods for facilitating document banking for one or more account holders are disclosed. The system includes a document banking system and one or more verification partners. The document banking system includes a storage repository to store one or more documents for the one or more account holders. The document banking system further includes a transaction engine facilitating one or more document transactions. The one or more verification partners verify the one or more documents when requested by the document banking system.

a document banking system includes: a storage repository to store one or more documents for the at least one account holder; and a transaction engine facilitating one or more document transactions; and at least one verification partner that verifies one or more documents when requested by the document banking system.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more document transactions include at least one of opening a document account, depositing one or more documents in the document account, verifying one or more documents in the document account, sending one or more documents through a gateway, adding an account holder to a beneficiary list, receiving one or more documents, deleting one or more documents, and updating one or more documents.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the document banking system further comprises a profile database to store information related to the at least one account holder.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the document banking system further comprises a secure data technologies module to secure one or more documents uploaded by the at least one account holder.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the document banking system further comprises a billing and payment module to handle billing and payment activities, based on the one or more document transactions performed by the at least one account holder.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the document banking system further comprises a verification module to verify one or more documents in the document account.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the verification is performed through the at least one verification partner.
8 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the at least one account holder requests for verifying one or more documents.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the document banking system further comprises a logging module to log the result of the one or more document transactions.
10 . A document banking system for facilitating document transactions, the document banking system comprising:
a storage repository to store one or more documents for at least one account holder in a predefined format; and a document transaction engine executing one or more document transactions.

The document banking system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more document transactions include at least one of opening a document account, depositing one or more documents in the document account, verifying one or more documents, sending one or more documents through a gateway, adding an account holder to a beneficiary list, receiving one or more documents, deleting one or more documents, and updating one or more documents.
12 . The document banking system of claim 10 , further comprising a profile database to store information related to the at least one account holder.
13 . The document banking system of claim 10 , further comprising a secure data technologies module to secure one or more documents uploaded by the at least one account holder.
14 . The document banking system of claim 10 , further comprising a billing and payment module to handle billing and payment activities, based on one or more document transactions performed by the at least one account holder.
15 . The document banking system of claim 10 , further comprising a verification module to verify one or more documents in the document account.
16 . A method for opening a document account with a document banking system, the method comprising:
receiving a request from a user to open a document account at the document banking system; receiving one or more documents; verifying the one or more documents; creating the document account of the user at the document banking system based on the verification; and storing the one or more documents in the document account of the user.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising scanning the received one or more documents.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising allocating a pre-defined disk space at the document banking system to the document account for storing the one or more documents.
19 . A method for facilitating one or more document transactions for at least one account holder through a document banking system, the method comprising:
receiving a request from the at least one account holder to perform the one or more document transactions; performing the one or more document transactions; and notifying the at least one account holder of the result of the one or more document transactions.
20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising billing the at least one account holder based on type of the one or more document transactions.
21 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the at least one account holder is one of an individual, a business and an organization.
22 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the performing the one or more document transactions includes executing predefined functions corresponding to the one or more document transactions.
23 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising logging the result of the performing the one or more document transactions.

The method of claim 19 , wherein the one or more document transactions include opening a document account, depositing one or more documents in the document account, verifying one or more documents in the document account, sending one or more documents through a gateway, adding an account holder to a beneficiary list, receiving one or more documents, deleting one or more documents, and updating one or more documents.
25 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the document banking system includes private, public and protected storage spaces to respectively store private documents, public documents and protected documents.
26 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising providing a document to the at least one account holder if the document is stored in a public storage space or an available protected space, on receiving a request from the at least one account holder to receive the document.
27 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising the at least one account holder accessing the document banking system through one of a computer, a mobile device and a document automated teller machine (DOC ATM).
28 . A method for facilitating document transactions through a document banking system, the method comprising:
receiving a document from a first account holder at the document banking system; authenticating the document; depositing the document in the document account of the first account holder; verifying the document; receiving a request to send the document to a second account holder at the document banking system; sending the document to the second account holder, if a beneficiary list of the first account holder includes the second account holder; and billing the first account holder, when the document is successfully sent to the second account holder.Cited by (0)
