Abstract

An information processing device includes: a storage management unit configured to store and manage content files; a metadata obtaining unit configured to obtain metadata of a recommendation source content; a content selecting unit configured to select, from content files managed by the storage management unit, recommended contents to be recommended to a recommendation-receiving user, based on metadata obtained by the metadata obtaining unit; an information obtaining unit configured to obtain held content information, which is information regarding held content files which a recommendation-receiving user is deemed to hold; and a recommendation order setting unit configured to set a recommendation order, regarding recommended contents selected by the content selecting unit, based on metadata added to held content files indicated by the held content information obtained by the information obtaining unit.

         2 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
 circuitry configured to
 receive a primary content from a first client terminal of a first user; 
 receive a subsidiary content from a second client terminal of a second user, wherein the subsidiary content was created by the second user using the primary content; 
 determine a first recommendation content based on metadata of the primary content and a profile of the second user and transmitting information identifying the first recommendation content to the second terminal of the second user; and 
 determine a second recommendation content based on metadata of the subsidiary content and a profile of the first user and transmitting information identifying the second recommendation content to the first terminal of the first user. 
   
     
     
         3 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the circuitry comprises:
 at least one processor; and   at least one storage medium having encoded thereon executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to carry out the acts the circuitry is configured to perform.   
     
     
         4 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the subsidiary content comprises a list of content including the primary content. 
     
     
         5 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein each content of the list of content comprises video content. 
     
     
         6 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the profile of the second user comprises information identifying content previously played by the second user. 
     
     
         7 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
 at least one processor; and   at least one storage medium having encoded thereon executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to carry out a method comprising:
 receiving a plurality of primary content from one or more client terminal of one or more first users, at least some of the primary content comprising video content; 
 receiving, from a second client terminal of a second user, a listing of two or more of the plurality of primary content elements; 
 determining at least one first content, to recommend to the second user, based at least in part on metadata identifying primary content of the plurality of primary content previously played by the second user; and 
 transmitting, to the second terminal of the second user, information identifying the at least one first content. 
   
     
     
         8 . A method comprising:
 receiving a plurality of primary content from one or more client terminal of one or more first users, at least some of the primary content comprising video content;   receiving, from a second client terminal of a second user, a listing of two or more of the plurality of primary content elements;   determining at least one first content, to recommend to the second user, based at least in part on metadata identifying primary content of the plurality of primary content previously played by the second user; and   transmitting, to the second terminal of the second user, information identifying the at least one first content.
