System for providing for a revenue generator to bid exclusively on mobile search traffic
Abstract
A system is described for providing for a revenue generator to bid exclusively on mobile search traffic. The system may include a processor, a memory and an interface. The memory may store a plurality of bids, a keyword, a mobile search request and a mobile advertisement associated with a revenue generator. The interface may communicate with a user and a plurality of revenue generators. The processor may receive bids on the keyword from the revenue generators. The bids may apply to the keyword when the keyword is searched for through the mobile carrier. The processor may receive the mobile search request from the user. The processor may determine if the mobile search request originated from the mobile carrier. The processor may serve the user the advertisement if the mobile search request originated from the mobile carrier, otherwise the mobile advertisement is not served for the keyword.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A system, comprising circuitry executable to:
identify a search request communicated over a network of a mobile carrier, the search request including search parameters that include a keyword; manipulate the search parameters so that the search request is associated with the mobile carrier; match the manipulated search parameters against a character string stored in the system, the character string including the keyword, a universal identification of the mobile carrier, and a separator between the keyword and the universal identification of the mobile carrier, and the match including: an identification of the keyword, the separator, and the universal identification of the mobile carrier in the character string; and using the separator to distinguish the keyword from the universal identification of the mobile carrier; and select an advertisement associated with the character string, according to the match of the manipulated search parameters against the character string.
22 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the separator includes alphanumeric characters.
23 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the alphanumeric characters do not include an English word.
24 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the universal identification of the mobile carrier includes a first character or a last character of the character string.
25 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the circuitry is further executable to manipulate the search parameters so that the search request is associated with a geographic location of an origin of the search request, and wherein the character string further includes a geographic location of the mobile carrier.
26 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the manipulation of the search parameters is according to a carrier identification associated with the search request, an Internet Protocol address associated with the search request, or any combination thereof.
27 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the carrier identification, the Internet Protocol address, or any combination thereof originates from a gateway server of the mobile carrier.
28 . A method, comprising:
identifying, by a computing device, search parameters of a search request that include a keyword, the search request originating from a mobile device and communicated over a network of a mobile carrier; adding a universal identification of the mobile carrier, a geographic location of the mobile device, or any combination thereof to the search request, resulting in a modified search request; and matching the modified search request against a character string associated with an advertisement, the character string including at least two sub-strings including at least two of the keyword, the universal identification of the mobile carrier, and a geographic location of the mobile carrier, and the character string further including a separator between the at least two sub-strings.
29 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the matching includes:
identifying the at least two sub-strings; and using the separator to distinguish the at least two sub-strings between each other.
30 . The method of claim 28 , further comprising communicating a selection of the advertisement, according to the matching of the search request against the character string.
31 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the separator includes alphanumeric characters.
32 . The method of claim 31 , wherein the alphanumeric characters do not include an English word.
33 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the adding of the universal identification of the mobile carrier, the geographic location of the mobile device, or any combination thereof to the search request is according to a carrier identification associated with the search request, an Internet Protocol address associated with the search request, or any combination thereof.
34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the carrier identification, the Internet Protocol address, or any combination thereof originates from a gateway server of the mobile carrier.
35 . A method, comprising:
communicating, by a mobile device, a search request over a network of a mobile carrier to a server, the search request including search parameters that include a keyword; prior to the communicating of the search request, manipulating the search parameters so that the search request further includes a geographic location of the mobile device and a universal identification of the mobile carrier; and receiving, from the server by the mobile device, an advertisement associated with a character string that matches the manipulated search parameters.
36 . The method of claim 35 , wherein the match between the character string and the manipulated search parameters includes using a separator between corresponding parts of the character string to distinguish the corresponding parts from each other.
37 . The method of claim 36 , wherein the separator includes alphanumeric characters.
38 . The method of claim 37 , wherein the alphanumeric characters do not include an English word.
39 . The method of claim 35 , wherein the manipulating of the search parameters is according to a carrier identification associated with the search request, an Internet Protocol address associated with the search request, or any combination thereof.
40 . The method of claim 39 , wherein the carrier identification, the Internet Protocol address, or any combination thereof originates from a gateway server of the mobile carrier.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
