Abstract

A dry running gas compressor has at least a first compression unit with a housing and a first working chamber in which gas is compressed. A hollow of said first working chamber is in said housing. A closed cooling liquid circuit is adapted for cooling the first working chamber of the first compression unit. The compression unit has at least one lubricant channel through which lubricant is guided to a bearing or gearbox or other component of the first compression unit. The lubricant channel is part of a lubricant circuit. The lubricant circuit is effectively fluidly separated from the cooling circuit.

1 . A dry running gas compressor comprising:
 at least a first compression unit, said first compression unit having a housing, a first working chamber in which gas is compressed, a hollow of said first working chamber is in said housing;   a closed cooling liquid circuit, wherein the closed cooling circuit is adapted for cooling the first working chamber of the first compression unit.   
     
     
         2 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 1 , further comprising a second compression unit having a housing, and a second working chamber in which gas is compressed, a hollow of said second working chamber is in said housing of said second compression unit, said second compression unit is connected in series or parallel with the first compression unit, wherein said cooling circuit is adapted for cooling the second working chamber. 
     
     
         3 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 1 , characterized in that a channel of said closed cooling circuit is at said housing of the first compression unit. 
     
     
         4 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 1  wherein the compression unit has at least one lubricant channel, through which lubricant is guided to a bearing or gearbox or other component of the first compression unit, and said lubricant channel is part of a lubricant circuit, said lubricant circuit is effectively fluidly separated from the cooling circuit.

The dry running compressor according to  claim 4 , further comprising a lubricant cooler forming part of said lubricant circuit, said lubricant cooler includes said cooling circuit, said lubricant cooler adapted to allow cooling of the lubricant by cooling liquid in the cooling circuit. 
     
     
         6 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 4 , wherein oil is used as said lubricant. 
     
     
         7 . The dry running compressor according  claim 4  further comprising a liquid cooler forming part of said cooling circuit and a lubricant cooler forming part of said lubricant circuit, wherein the closed cooling circuit is configured to guide cooling liquid in said cooling circuit to cool lubricant passing through said lubricant cooler. 
     
     
         8 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 7 , further comprising a motor which drives at least the first compression unit. 
     
     
         9 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 8 , characterized in that the motor furthermore drives a liquid pump of the cooling circuit and a lubricant pump of the lubricant circuit. 
     
     
         10 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 9 , wherein the motor has a cooling channel which forms part of the cooling circuit. 
     
     
         11 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 4 , characterized in that lubricant in said lubricant circuit is effectively fluidly isolated from compressed air flow in said first working chamber to avoid the inflow of lubricant into the compressed air flow in said working chamber. 
     
     
         12 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 1 , wherein it operates without a connection to an external cooling water system. 
     
     
         13 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 7 , wherein the liquid cooler is performed as liquid/air cooler or as liquid/liquid cooler. 
     
     
         14 . A dry running gas compressor comprising:
 at least a first compression unit, said first compression unit having a housing, a first working chamber in which gas is compressed, a hollow of said first working chamber is in said housing;   a surface delimits said hollow;   a closed cooling liquid circuit, wherein said closed cooling circuit is adapted for cooling said surface delimiting said hollow.   
     
     
         15 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 14 , further comprising a second compression unit having a housing, and a second working chamber in which gas is compressed, a hollow of said second working chamber is in said housing of said second compression unit, a surface delimits said hollow, said second compression unit is connected in series or parallel with the first compression unit, wherein said cooling circuit is adapted for cooling said surface delimiting said hollow in the second working chamber. 
     
     
         16 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 15  wherein said surface delimiting said hollow of said first working chamber or said surface is part of a structure forming said cooling liquid circuit. 
     
     
         17 . The dry running compressor according to  claim 14  wherein the compression unit has at least one lubricant channel, through which lubricant is guided to a bearing or gearbox or other component of the first compression unit, and said lubricant channel is part of a lubricant circuit, said lubricant circuit is effectively fluidly separated from the cooling circuit.
