Claims

Abstract

A lifestyle disease improving drug that enhances PPARα, δ and γ agonist activities that includes a compound having the lactone structure in accordance with the chemical formula 6-alkyl-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyran-2-one, the alkyl containing 4, 5, or 6 carbons, and a method for synthesizing the compound. The method includes adding, stepwise, a butyllithium-hexane solution to a diisopropylamine-tetrahydrofuran solution, and then a 6-alkyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution, wherein the alkyl contains 4, 5, or 6 carbons, adding a phenylselenyl choloride-tetrahydrofuran solution to produce a reaction mixture with a phenylselenide, extracting and purifying the phenylselenide, preparing a phenylselenide-tetrahydrofuran solution with the purified phenylselenide, and adding sodium bicarbonate and an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution to the phenylselenide-tetrahydrofuran solution to produce a reaction mixture including the compound.

         2 . The compound of  claim 1 , which enhances PPARα, δ and γ agonist activities.

         4 . A lifestyle disease improving drug containing the compound of Claim  1 , wherein the drug enhances PPARα, δ and γ agonist activities. 
     
     
         5 . A method for synthesizing a compound having a lactone structure comprising Chemical formula 7, Chemical formula 8, or Chemical formula 9 which enhances PPARα, δ and γ agonist activities, the method comprising:
 adding, stepwise, a butyllithium-hexane solution to a diisopropylamine-tetrahydrofuran solution, and then a 6-alkyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution, wherein the alkyl contains 4, 5, or 6 carbons; 
 adding a phenylselenyl choloride-tetrahydrofuran solution to produce a reaction mixture with a phenylselenide; 
 extracting and purifying the phenylselenide; 
 preparing a phenylselenide-tetrahydrofuran solution with the purified phenylselenide; 
 adding sodium bicarbonate and an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution to the phenylselenide-tetrahydrofuran solution to produce a reaction mixture including a compound having a lactone structure comprising Chemical formula 7, Chemical formula 8, or Chemical formula 9. 
 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the 6-alkyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution is a 6-butyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution, and wherein the compound having a lactone structure comprises the structure of Chemical formula 7. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the 6-alkyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution is a 6-pentyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one tetrahydrofuran-solution, and wherein the compound having a lactone structure comprises the structure of Chemical formula 8. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the 6-alkyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution is a 6-hexyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one-tetrahydrofuran solution, and wherein the compound having a lactone structure comprises the structure of Chemical formula 9. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 5 , further comprising extracting the compound from the reaction mixture including the compound having a lactone structure comprising Chemical formula 7, Chemical formula 8, or Chemical formula 9. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising incorporating a pharmacologically effective dose of the compound having a lactone structure comprising Chemical formula 7, Chemical formula 8, or Chemical formula 9 into a drug that enhances PPARα, δ and γ agonist activities.
