Abstract
Different data communication architectures deliver a wide variety of content, including audio and video content, to consumers. The architectures employ channel bonding to deliver more bandwidth than any single communication channel can carry. In some implementations, the communication architectures distribute data across multiple orbital angular momentum channels in the bonded channel group.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system comprising:
a frame classification unit in communication with an audio/visual source to receive an audio/visual stream; a distributor in communication with the frame classification unit, the distributor configured to:
receive a classification indicator specifying a frame type from the frame classification unit;
divide the audio/visual stream into communication units; and
distribute, based on the frame type, the communication units to communication channels of a bonded channel group; and
where the communication channels comprise different orbital states.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the distributor is configured to divide data of the audio/visual stream into groups, identify groups comprising intra-frame data, and in response to identifying the groups comprising intra-frame data interleave the groups that comprise intra-frame data.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the distributor is configured to identify communication units comprising intra-frame data, and in response to identifying the communication units comprising intra-frame data, transmit the communication units that comprise intra-frame data across more than one of the communication channels having different orbital states.
4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the distributor is configured to transmit the communication units that comprise intra-frame data across more than one of the communication channels in a different communication unit order.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the distributor is configured to transmit the communication units that comprise intra-frame data across a first of the communication channels in a shifted communication unit order relative to a second of the communication channels.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the distributor is configured to transmit the communication units that comprise intra-frame data across more than one of the communication channels simultaneously.
7 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the distributor is configured, in response to identifying the communication units comprising intra-frame data, to transmit the communication units that comprise intra-frame data across all of the communication channels of the bonded channel group.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the distributor is configured to determine whether the communication unit is predicted frame data, and directly transfer the data to one of the communication channels in response to the communication unit being determined by as predicted frame data.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the distributor is configured to determine whether the communication unit is bi-directional predicted frame data, and directly transfer the data to one of the communication channels in response to the communication unit being determined by as bi-directional predicted frame data.
10 . A method comprising:
in at least one processor,
receiving a video stream from a source;
dividing the video stream into communication units; and
determining classification indicators that specifies a frame type for the communication units; and
distribute, based on the frame type of the classification indicators, the communication units to at least two communication channels having different orbital states of a bonded channel group.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein distributing, based on the frame type of the classification indicators, includes transmitting the communication units that comprise intra-frame data across more than one of the communication channels having different orbital states.
12 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising identifying communication units comprising intra-frame data, in response to identifying the communication units comprising intra-frame data, interleave the communication units that comprise intra-frame data.
13 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
transmitting a first group of communication units across a first communication channel in the bonded channel group having a first orbital angular momentum in a first group order, and transmitting the first group of communication units across a second communication channel in the bonded channel group having a second orbital angular momentum in a second group order.
14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
transmitting the first group of communication units across the first and second communication channels simultaneously.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the second group order comprises a shifted version of the first group order.
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein distributing further comprises: distributing the communication units in a different order to the communication channels in the bonded channel group.
17 . The method of claim 10 , wherein distributing further comprises transferring the communication units to one of the communication channels in response to the communication unit being determined as not including intra-frame data.
18 . A method comprising:
in at least one processor,
receiving a video stream from a source;
dividing the video stream into communication units; and
distribute, based on characteristics of the communication units, the communication units to at least two communication channels, having a same frequency band and different orbital states, of a bonded channel group.
19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising:
transmitting a first group of communication units across both a first and second communication channels of the bonded channel group simultaneously.
20 . The method of claim 18 , where distributing further comprises: distributing the communication units in a different order to the communication channels in the bonded channel group.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
