Abstract
A metathesized natural oil composition comprising a blend of (i) a high molecular weight metathesized natural oil, and (ii) at least 10% of metathesized natural oil back blended with the high molecular weight metathesized natural oil. The blend has a number average molecular weight in the range from about 300 g/mol to about 76,000 g/mol, a weight average molecular weight in the range from about 300 g/mol to about 81,000 g/mol, a z-average molecular weight in the range from about 300 g/mol to about 87,000 g/mol, and a polydispersity index of about 0.5 to about 1.5. The metathesized natural oil composition is metathesized at least once.

A metathesized natural oil composition comprising a blend of (i) a high molecular weight metathesized natural oil, and (ii) at least 10% of a metathesized natural oil back blended with the high molecular weight metathesized natural oil, wherein the blend has a number average molecular weight in the range from about 300 g/mol to about 76,000 girnol, a weight average molecular weight in the range from about 300 g/mol to about 81,000 g/mol, a z-average molecular weight in the range from about 300 g/mol to about 87,000 g/mol, and a polydispersity index of about 0.5 to about 1.5, and further wherein the metathesized natural oil composition is metathesized at least once.
2 . The metathesized natural oil composition of claim 1 , wherein at least 14% of the metathesized natural oil is back blended with the high molecular weight metathesized natural oil.
3 . The metathesized natural oil composition of claim 1 , wherein at least 24% of the metathesized natural oil is back blended with the high molecular weight metathesized natural oil.
4 . The metathesized natural oil composition of claim 1 , wherein the metathesized natural oil composition is metathesized at least twice.
5 . The metathesized natural oil composition of claim 1 , wherein the metathesized natural oil composition has a dynamic viscosity at 40° C. of between about 200 centipoise and 1400 centipoise.
6 . The metathesized natural oil composition of claim 1 , wherein the metathesized natural oil composition has a dynamic viscosity at 40° C. of between about 500 centipoise and 700 centipoise.
7 . The metathesized natural oil composition of claim 1 , wherein the metathesized natural oil composition is subject to steam stripping at a temperature of between about 150° C. and about 200° C.
