Abstract

A traffic-light-free overpass at intersections has roads arranged as follows: arranging from west to east a straight lane for ground-level motor vehicles, a straight lane for ground-level non-motor vehicles and pedestrians, a left-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles, a right-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles; arranging from east to west a straight lane for elevated motor vehicles, a straight lane for elevated non-motor vehicles and pedestrians, a left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles, a right-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles; arranging from south to north a straight lane for underground motor vehicles, a straight lane for underground non-motor vehicles and pedestrians, a right-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles, a left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles, a section of straight lane for elevated motor vehicles, a left-U-turn lane for underground motor vehicles; arranging from north to south a straight lane for underground motor vehicles, a straight lane for underground non-motor vehicles and pedestrians, a left-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles, a right-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles, and a left-U-turn lane for underground motor vehicles. The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections of this functional invention is built on the established roads rather than the new lands, which saves the capital investment, and has a complete function, where this overpass has exclusive lanes in each direction without crossings. The scale of the overpass is 5 times less than those in the market, which is beneficial to the rational use of the metropolitan tracks and traffic resources.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A traffic-light-free overpass at intersections, comprising roads arranged as follows:
 (1) arranging from west to east: a straight lane for ground-level motor vehicles, and a straight lane for ground-level non-motor vehicles and pedestrians which is next to the straight lane for ground-level motor vehicles; a left-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles, which is diverged to left at the ground level and merging to a section of straight lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from south to north; a right-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles, which is diverged to right and continuously extends to form a section of straight lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from north to south; (2) arranging from east to west: a straight lane for elevated motor vehicles, and a straight lane for elevated non-motor vehicles and pedestrians which is next to the straight lane for elevated motor vehicles; a left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles, which is diverged to left and continuously extends to form a section of straight lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from north to south, where the end of the straight lane for elevated motor vehicles extends to the ground level and continues going straight from north to south and underpassing the left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from south to north; a right-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles, which is diverged to right and continuously extends to form a section of straight lane for ground-level motor vehicles travelling from south to north; (3) arranging from south to north: a straight lane for underground motor vehicles, and a straight lane for underground non-motor vehicles and pedestrians which is next to the straight lane for underground motor vehicles; a left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles, which is diverged to left and continuously extends to form a section of straight lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from east to west; a section of straight lane for elevated motor vehicles, which is joined with the left-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles travelling from west to east; (4) arranging from north to south: a straight lane for underground motor vehicles, and a straight lane for underground non-motor vehicles and pedestrians which is next to the straight lane for underground motor vehicles; a left-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles, underpassing the straight lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from south to north; a right-turn lane for ground-level motor vehicles.

2 . The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections according to claim 1 , wherein the right-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from south to north is next to the left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from east to west; the left-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from south to north is next to the right-turn lane for elevated motor vehicles travelling from west to east.

3 . The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections according to claim 1 , wherein pedestrian steps are arranged between each underground passage and the ground and between the ground and the elevated passages, for pedestrians changing directions from the west-east direction to the south-north direction or from the south-north direction to the west-east direction.

4 . The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections according to claim 1 , wherein four non-motor vehicle lanes are arranged at the ground level, which include a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the south-north direction to make a left turn, a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the west-east direction to make a right turn, a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the south-north direction to make a right turn, and a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the west-east direction to make a left turn.

5 . The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections according to claim 1 , wherein the scale of the overpass is 5 times less than those in the market.

6 . The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections according to claim 2 , wherein four non-motor vehicle lanes are arranged at the ground level, which include a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the south-north direction to make a left turn, a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the west-east direction to make a right turn, a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the south-north direction to make a right turn, and a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the west-east direction to make a left turn.

7 . The traffic-light-free overpass at intersections according to claim 3 , wherein four non-motor vehicle lanes are arranged at the ground level, which include a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the south-north direction to make a left turn, a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the west-east direction to make a right turn, a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the south-north direction to make a right turn, and a lane for non-motor vehicles travelling in the west-east direction to make a left turn.
