Abstract

A hyaluronic acid production promoter and a melanin synthesis inhibitor include soybean saponin as an active ingredient. The soybean saponin can be a soybean saponin aglycone, such as soyasapogenol A and/or soyasapogenol B. The hyaluronic acid production promoter and melanin synthesis inhibitor can be administered transdermally or orally.

1 . A method of promoting the production of hyaluronic acid, comprising the step of administrating a formulation comprising soybean saponin as an active ingredient to a person in need of hyaluronic acid to promote the production of hyaluronic acid. 
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the soybean saponin is aglycone. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the soybean saponin aglycone comprises soyasapogenol A and/or soyasapogenol B. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the formulation is a transdermal formulation. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the formulation is an oral formulation.
