Mister-equipped umbrella system
Abstract
A mister-equipped umbrella to shield a user from precipitation, to provide protection from harmful UV rays, and to allow the user to activate a mister having a variable mist head to cool the user on a hot, sunny day. The mister-equipped umbrella generally combines an umbrella assembly and a mister assembly. The umbrella assembly includes a tube, a runner, a plurality of stretchers, a plurality of ribs each terminating in a top, a cover comprising at least one UV coating, and a handle that has an inner volume for storing batteries and an outer surface that may be insulated for gripping. The mister assembly comprises a fluid reservoir, a pump, and a variable mister head. In use, the user may manually adjust the variable mister head to configure a misting pattern and frequency of the mister.

2 . A color changing mister-equipped umbrella system comprising:
a. an umbrella assembly having;
i. an umbrella shaft;
ii. a tube;
iii. a runner;
iv. a plurality of stretchers;
v. a plurality of ribs each terminating in a tip;
vi. a cover comprising at least one UV coating, said cover further comprising a second UV coating on an underside of said cover providing redundant protection from said UV rays, wherein a top side of said cover is treated with photochromic dye, said photochromic dye changing colors according to a limited color spectrum as a result of a sunlight activated color change;
vii. a handle that has an inner volume for storing batteries and an outer surface for gripping, said outer surface is insulated;
viii. a fluid reservoir, said fluid reservoir comprising threads;
ix. a pump;
i. an operating button;
ii. a mister button;
iii. a height adjuster;
iv. a tube;
v. vents to prevent inversion; and
vi. at least one mister, said mister comprising a variable mist control head for providing at least two different mist settings of said mister, said mister head attached to said tube by a ball and socket joint, said variable mist control head pivotable in relation to said tube via said ball and socket joint such that it is able to be situated at a user-preferred orientation;
b. wherein said umbrella shaft; said tube; said runner; said stretchers; said plurality of ribs; said cover; and said handle in combination form a collapsible said umbrella assembly; a. wherein said outer surface is structured and arranged for minimizing operator fatigue and discomfort during the operator use of mister-equipped umbrella system; b. wherein in said outer surface is structured and arranged for friction gripping of said mister-equipped umbrella system during windy and rainy conditions; c. wherein said handle is structured and arranged for insulating the operator from an electrical shock, such as a lighting strike; d. wherein said height adjuster is structured and arranged for adjusting at least one height of said mister-equipped umbrella system by sliding said cover along said umbrella shaft, wherein said umbrella shaft is structured and arranged as a fixed length; e. wherein said operating button is structured and arranged separately from said mister button; f. wherein said mister button is structured and arranged for automatic positioning of said at least one mister, wherein said automatic positioning of said at least one mister comprises positioning up, down, left or right by the operator touching said mister position button; g. wherein said plurality of stretchers are structured and arranged for extending by an electrical current from said batteries; wherein said batteries are structured and arranged for activating said plurality of stretchers by said operating button; h. wherein said umbrella shaft; said tube; said runner; said cover; and said plurality of ribs; of said umbrella assembly are deployable from a closed-collected condition to an open condition to shield a user from at least one ambient environmental condition; i. wherein said mister is mounted to said tube, said tube providing fluid communication between said fluid reservoir and said mister; j. wherein said mister is battery-powered via said batteries; k. wherein said mister provides an atomized-mist pumped from said fluid reservoir via said pump, said pump powered via said batteries; and l. wherein said mister in combination with said umbrella assembly of said mister-equipped umbrella system is designed to provide moisture about said user to dissipate heat in hot said ambient environmental condition and said UV coating on said cover of said umbrella assembly protecting said user from UV rays.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
