Abstract

A handling device for handling drill with a gripper shuttle drivingly displaceable along a guiding beam fastenable to the drill rig in order to extend in a direction from the feed beam while forming an angle therewith. The gripper shuttle has a pivotally arranged guiding gripper for in a first position in a first outermost position on the guiding beam grip a first end portion of a drill string component, being intended for lifting from a position outside the rig, the other end portion of which being intended to be in threaded engagement with a lifting plug or the like for co-operation with said lifting winch. The gripper shuttle in a second position in a second inner position on the guiding beam adjacent to the feed beam is arranged with the guiding gripper to line up the gripped drill string component in the region of the drill string position.

         3 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein the gripper shuttle is drivable over a wire, a chain, a band or a cable by a stationarily arranged driving motor.

         4 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein the gripper shuttle carries a driving motor for driving, said driving motor acting against an engagement member being arranged along the guiding beam.

         5 . The handling device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
 a control system arranged to control of the movement of the gripper shuttle in correlation with the operation of the lifting winch.

         6 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein in said second position of the gripper shuttle, the guiding gripper is arranged to line up said gripped drill string component in the area of the drill string position through co-operation with an alignment guide arranged on the feed beam.

         7 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein the guide gripper is swing driveable between a first swing position in said first position and a second swing position in said second position.

         8 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein the guiding gripper is maneuverable between open and closed condition through any one of: an electric motor, an hydraulic motor, a pneumatic motor.

         9 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein the guiding beam is pivotally attachable to the drill rig around a first pivot axis.

         10 . The handling device according to claim 1 , wherein the guiding beam in an outer region is pivotally attachable to a support around a second pivot axis.

         11 . The handling device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
 a gripper unit arranged on the rig for engaging said first end portion of a drill string component when said gripped drill string component is lined up with the guiding gripper in the region of the drill string position.

         12 . A rock drill rig, comprising:
 a drill string; a rotator device for rotation and driving of the drill string; a feed beam configured to support the rotator device, wherein the feed beam is movable to and fro on the feed beam; and a handling device comprising
 a guiding beam being fastenable to the drill rig in order to extend in a direction from the feed beam while forming an angle therewith;
 a gripper shuttle which is drivingly displaceable along the guiding beam; and
 a guiding gripper pivotally arranged on the gripper shuttle and configured in a first position in a first outermost position on the guiding beam to grip a first end portion of a drill string component, being intended for lifting from a position outside the rig, a second end portion of the drill string component being intended to be in threaded engagement with a lifting plug for co-operation with said lifting winch, and wherein the gripper shuttle in a second position in a second inner position on the guiding beam adjacent to the feed beam is arranged with the guiding gripper to line up said gripped drill string component in the region of the drill string position.

         13 . A method for handling drill string components with respect to a drill rig comprising a feed beam, a feed and rotation device displaced on the feed beam, and a first drill string component is lifted and positioned on the feed beam to be threaded to a second drill string component being in a drill string position of the rig, the method comprising:
