Wheeled toy with an asymmetric counterweight
Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a toy. The toy includes a body, a rotating shaft, wheels, and an asymmetric counterweight. The rotating shaft extends through the body of the toy and the wheels are connected at either end of the rotating shaft. The asymmetric counterweight is located at the base of the body and causes the body to rest at an angle. When a player applies a force to the toy, the force causes the wheels of the toy to move while the counterweight helps to facilitate movement of the toy along a surface. In this regard, the toy provides amusement and entertainment to the player while also developing agility and strength.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A toy comprising:
a body; a rotating shaft; wheels rotatably mounted at a lower portion of the body through the rotating shaft, the wheels being arranged to drive the body into motion; and an asymmetric counterweight arranged at the lower portion of the body such that the body is inclined about an axis of the rotating shaft when the toy is at rest.
2 . A toy in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the asymmetric counterweight is configured such that a longitudinal axis of the body is at an angle of 20-40 degrees to the vertical when the toy is at rest.
3 . A toy in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the wheels are fixedly connected with the rotating shaft, and the body is rotatably mounted on the rotating shaft.
4 . A toy in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the wheels comprise a plurality of wheels arranged on two sides of the body.
5 . A toy in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the wheels comprise two wheels.
6 . A toy in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the body is cylindrical.
7 . A toy in accordance with claim 1 , wherein a center of gravity of the body with the asymmetric counterweight is located below the rotating shaft when the toy is at rest.
8 . A toy in accordance with claim 7 , wherein the asymmetric counterweight is disposed below the rotating shaft when the toy is at rest.
9 . A toy in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the asymmetric counterweight covers a bottom of the body.
10 . A toy in accordance with claim 9 , wherein an upper surface of the asymmetric counterweight is substantially horizontal when the toy is at rest.
11 . A toy comprising:
a body supported by a wheel arrangement arranged to rotate about a rotating shaft disposed at one end of the body, wherein the body comprises a ballast member disposed adjacent to the rotating shaft so as to allow the body to incline about the rotating shaft when the toy is at rest.
12 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the ballast member is positioned with an offset relative to a longitudinal axis of the body when the toy is at rest.
13 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the ballast member is positioned with an angle of 20-40 degrees from a longitudinal axis of the body when the toy is at rest.
14 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the ballast member is disposed below the rotating shaft when the toy is at rest.
15 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein a center of gravity of the body with the ballast member is located below the rotating shaft when the toy is at rest.
16 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the ballast member is arranged to balance the body with an offset when a force is applied to the body.
17 . A toy in accordance with claim 16 , wherein a center of gravity of the body with the ballast member do not lie on a same vertical plane with a center of the rotating shaft when the force is applied to the body.
18 . A toy in accordance with claim 16 , wherein the ballast member is arranged to allow the body to oscillate about the rotating shaft after the force is applied to the toy.
19 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the ballast member is made of wood, plastic, metal or any combination thereof.
20 . A toy in accordance with claim 11 , wherein the wheel arrangement comprises two wheels.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
