Abstract

An apparatus and method for providing cosmetic treatment to skin comprise one material chemically active in a solid form preferably in a tablet form and a second material which is chemically reactive with the first material so that effervescence is produced during the reaction. The chemically active materials may be activated by a user for providing cosmetic treatment to skin. The activation releases effervescence which urges granules of the reacting materials onto the skin. The size of the granules lowers during the reaction thus providing continuously refining peeling to the skin.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An apparatus comprising:
a first compartment to contain a tablet comprising at least a first active material and at least a second active material, said first and said second active materials being in solid form, said tablet having one face exposed to the outside of said apparatus; a second compartment to contain an activating material, said activating material being in a non-solid form; and a passage to controllably allow said activating material to engage said first active material and said second active material and to thereby activate a chemical reaction; wherein the pH of said first active material is higher than 7 and the pH of said second active material is lower than 7, wherein said chemical reaction to create effervescent effect, wherein at least some of the effervescent effect takes place on said exposed face of said tablet, and wherein said tablet is formed with a hole, said hole is adapted to fit said passage to lead said activating material from said second compartment to said exposed face of said tablet to allow said activating material to flow through said hole and to wet said exposed face of said tablet.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said first active material contains granules.

3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the size of said granules lowers during said chemical reaction.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said effervescent effect to release carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) gas during said chemical reaction.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said second compartment is squeezable.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said passage is in the form of at least one of hole and channel.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said tablet is formed to have two main facets substantially parallel to each other.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 wherein said first compartment is adapted to receive said tablet so that a first facet of the tablet is facing away from said second compartment.

         9 . A method comprising:
providing an apparatus for applying cosmetic treatment; providing a tablet comprising at least a first active material and at least a second active material; said first and said second active materials being in solid form, said tablet having one face exposed to the outside of said apparatus in a first compartment of said apparatus; providing an activating material, said activating material being in a non-solid form enclosed in a second compartment in said apparatus; allowing said activating material to flow towards said tablet via a hole in said tablet, said hole is adapted to fit a passage to lead said activating material from said second compartment to said exposed face of said tablet to allow said activating material to flow through said hole and to wet said exposed face of said tablet, to controllably activate a chemical reaction between said first active material and said second active material thereby creating an effervescent effect on said exposed face of said tablet; using said first material, said second material and said effervescent effect resulting from said reaction for cosmetic care by rubbing them onto a treated skin.

10 . The method of claim 9 further comprising:
providing a liquid to serve as a gliding material between said apparatus and a treated skin.

11 . The method of claim 10 wherein said liquid is one or more of a group comprising water and gel.

12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the pH of said first active material is higher than 7 and the pH of said second active material is lower than 7.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein said first active material contains granules.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the size of said granules lowers during said chemical reaction.

15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein said effervescent effect to release carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) gas during said chemical reaction.

16 . The method of claim 9 , wherein said tablet is formed as a solid tablet having two main facets substantially parallel to each other.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein a first facet of said tablet to face said treated skin.

18 . The method of claim 13 , wherein said granules are urged towards said treated skin by said effervescent effect.
