Abstract
This present invention relates generally to the use of novel formulations comprising a surface active polymer to enhance oxygenation in skin and other soft tissue. The present invention also discloses formulations that can be used to improve clinical outlook and reducing bacteria. Methods of making and using the same are also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for treating a wound, comprising:
topically administrating a composition comprising at least one surface active agent and about 10% to about 50% of a standard therapeutically effective amount of at least one therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of antimicrobial agents, analgesics, and combinations thereof to the wound.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the composition is in the form of a gel.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein contacting comprises applying a fabric material comprising the composition to the wound.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more surface active agents comprise a surface active copolymer.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein topically administrating comprises applying a fabric material comprising the composition to the wound.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more surface active agents comprise a surface active copolymer.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising contacting the site with a second composition comprising a second surface active agent and at least one additional therapeutic agent.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one surface active agent is selected from the group consisting of poloxamers, meroxapols, poloxamines, and combinations thereof.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one surface active agent is selected from the group consisting of poloxamer 127, poloxamer 188, poloxamer 237, poloxamer 335, poloxamer 407, and combinations thereof.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one surface active agent comprises about 0.01 w/w % to about 85 w/w %.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the antimicrobial agent comprises about 10% to about 50% of a standard therapeutically effective amount.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one therapeutic agent is silver sulfadiazine, less than 1.0 w/w %.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
