Abstract

The present disclosure relates to evidenced-based neuro-cognitive testing methodologies and systems. The present disclosure provides for a protocol and testing service. The protocol and testing service provides empirical data support for the interventions of the treating physician or clinician. The evidenced-based neuro-cognitive testing methodology and system disclosed comprises a protocol for the use of a triggering questionnaire. Further, the evidenced-based neuro-cognitive testing methodology and system provides normed screenings to guide and support the interventions provided by the treating physicians or clinicians. The protocol provides for intervention support, interpretations, and empirical data that enhance best practices.

         13 . An evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing protocol comprising the steps of:
 visiting a physician by a patient;   evaluating the patient by the physician;   completing a neurobehavioral questionnaire using responses from the patient, the neurobehavioral questionnaire eliciting from the patient only affirmative or negative responses to a plurality of questions, wherein at least one question of the plurality of questions corresponds to at least one additional inventory;   evaluating the neurobehavioral questionnaire to determine if an additional assessment, an intervention, or combinations thereof is needed;   continuing the protocol if the additional assessment, the intervention, or combinations thereof is needed;   continuing the protocol if the additional assessment, the intervention, or combinations thereof is accepted by the patient;   inputting the demographic data of the patient and responses to the questionnaire, the additional assessment, or combinations thereof into a computer system to create a patient database;   evaluating the responses to the plurality of questions, the additional assessment, or combinations thereof to determine an indication for the at least one additional inventory;   applying normalized data to the patient database for creating patient normalized data, wherein the at least one additional inventory corresponding to the indication is provided to the patient, responses are received from the patient thereto, responses to the at least one additional inventory are evaluated, and wherein the at least one additional question is automatically added to the neurobehavioral questionnaire concurrent with the determination of the indication for the at least one additional inventory;   interpreting the patient normalized data to determine at least one outcome;   proposing recommendations based upon the at least one outcome;   reviewing the at least one outcome and the recommendations by the physician and the patient;   determining the need for intervention;   continuing the protocol if intervention is needed;   prescribing a patient intervention commensurate with the at least one outcome and the recommendations;   conducting the patient interventions;   re-evaluating the patient after the patient interventions have been conducted; and   terminating the protocol if the patient interventions are successful, or   continuing the protocol if the patient interventions are not successful by completing a computerized assessment by the patient to create an updated patient database for analysis.   
     
     
         14 . An evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing system comprising:
 a processor in communication with data storage, wherein the data storage comprises:
 a neurobehavioral questionnaire completed by a patient, wherein the neurobehavioral questionnaire comprises a plurality of questions, the neurobehavioral questionnaire eliciting from the patient only affirmative or negative responses to the plurality of questions, and wherein at least one of the plurality of the questions corresponds to at least one additional inventory; 
 at least one functionality question relating to subjective assessment of a functionality of the patient, at least one additional assessment; and 
 a patient database comprising patient demographic data and responses to the plurality of questions, the at least one assessment, or combinations thereof, 
 wherein responses to the plurality of questions, the at least one functionality question, the at least one additional assessment, or combinations thereof are evaluated to determine an indication of additional inventories, 
 wherein normalized data is applied to the patient database for creating a patient normalized data, 
 wherein additional inventories corresponding to the indication are provided to the patient, responses are received from the patient thereto, responses to the additional inventories are evaluated, 
 wherein at least one additional question is automatically added to the questionnaire concurrent with a determination of the indication for an additional inventory, 
 wherein the patient normalized data is analyzed to determine at least one outcome, 
 wherein recommendations are proposed based upon the at least one outcome, 
 wherein the at least one outcome and the recommendations are reviewed by a physician and the patient, and 
 wherein a need for intervention is determined using the at least one outcome and the recommendations. 
   
     
     
         15 . The evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing system of  claim 14 , wherein the neurobehavioral questionnaire is evaluated to determine if intervention is needed by acquiring an affirmative response to at least one question that indicates the at least one outcome, a need for testing at least one additional inventory, or combinations thereof. 
     
     
         16 . The evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing system of  claim 14 , wherein the neurobehavioral questionnaire is evaluated to determine if intervention is needed by acquiring multiple positive responses to the plurality of questions that strongly indicate the at least one outcome, a need for at least one additional inventory, or combinations thereof. 
     
     
         17 . The evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing system of  claim 14 , wherein at least one intervention commensurate with the at least one outcome and the recommendations is performed, and wherein efficacy of the at least one intervention is monitored.

         19 . A computer readable medium comprising computer instructions for instructing a processor to:
 provide a neurobehavioral questionnaire to a patient, the neurobehavioral questionnaire eliciting from the patient only affirmative or negative responses to a plurality of questions, wherein at least one question of the plurality of questions corresponds to at least one additional inventory;   collect data in the form of responses of the patient to the neurobehavioral questionnaire;   perform an algorithm using the collected patient data responses to determine if an assessment is indicated;   provide a determined assessment to the patient;   receive assessment data input of the patient, and store the received assessment data in a patient database along with the responses of the patient to the plurality of questions comprising the neurobehavioral questionnaire;   evaluate the responses of the patient to the plurality of questions, the assessment data, or combinations thereof to determine an indication for the at least one additional inventory;   normalize the stored responses and assessment data for creating patient normalized data, wherein the at least one additional inventory corresponding to the indication is provided to the patient, wherein responses are received from the patient thereto, wherein responses to the at least one additional inventory are evaluated, and wherein the at least one additional question is automatically added to the neurobehavioral questionnaire concurrent with the determination of the indication for the at least one additional inventory;   score the stored responses and assessment data; and   provide the scored responses and assessment data to a physician for forming an interpretation, interpret the scored responses and assessment data by comparing the scored responses and assessment data to a predetermined range of values for various illnesses and disorders to form an interpretation, or combinations thereof.   
     
     
         20 . The computer readable medium of  claim 19 , further comprising computer instructions for instructing a processor to:
 receive recommendations for the patient from the physician; and   perform an algorithm using the interpretation and the physician recommendations to determine an intervention commensurate with the interpretation and the physician recommendations.   
     
     
         21 . The computer readable medium of  claim 19 , further comprising computer instructions for instructing a processor to:
 provide at least one additional assessment to the patient;   receive additional assessment data from the patient and store the additional assessment data to form an updated patient database;   normalize the additional assessment data;   score the additional assessment data; and   provide the scored additional assessment data to a physician for an additional interpretation, interpret the scored additional assessment data by comparing the scored additional assessment data to a predetermined range of values for various illnesses and disorders to form an additional interpretation, or combinations thereof, to determine the success of the intervention.   
     
     
         22 . The computer readable medium of  claim 19 , further comprising computer instructions for instructing a processor to:
 provide a test of at least one psychological parameter to a patient; and   receive data indicative of the at least one psychological parameter.   
     
     
         23 . The computer readable medium of  claim 19 , further comprising computer instructions for instructing a processor to:
 receive demographic data from a patient; and   perform an algorithm using the collected data responses and the demographic data to determine if an assessment is indicated.
