Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method of treating or preventing pain in a human subject, comprising administering to a human subject having or believed to be at risk of having pain an antibody or fragment thereof that binds and neutralizes S1P, thereby effecting treatment or prevention of pain.

2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the pain is neuropathic pain, allodynia, or hyperalgesia.

3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the neuropathic pain is chemotherapeutic drug-induced neuropathic pain.

4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody is a monoclonal antibody.
