Abstract
A flat cable for connecting a plurality of devices includes a plurality of signal lines which are divided into a plurality of signal groups, wherein at least a part of the signal groups are separated by a separating section; and a plurality of connectors which are respectively provided at opposite ends of the plurality of signal lines and respectively connectable to the plurality of devices.

1 . A display apparatus comprising:
a first processing unit; a second processing unit; and a flat cable connecting the first processing unit and the second processing unit, the flat cable comprising:
a plurality of signal lines that are divided into a plurality of signal groups; and
a first connector and a second connector respectively provided at opposite ends of the plurality of signal lines and respectively connected to the first processing unit and the second processing unit,
wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups is spatially separable from a second signal group via a first slit formed starting at least a distance from the first connector and ending at least a distance from the second connector on a first side of the at least one signal group, and is spatially separable from a third signal group via a second slit formed starting at least a distance from the first connector and ending at least a distance from the second connector on a second side of the at least one signal group, wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups comprises two signal lines for transmitting a “+” signal and two signal lines for transmitting a “−” signal, and wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups comprises two ground lines.
2 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first processing unit comprises a signal processor, and
wherein the second processing unit comprises a display unit.
3 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of signal lines transmit a low voltage differential signaling signal.
4 . The display apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the flat cable further comprises a binding member which binds the plurality of signal groups and extends for only part of a length of the flat cable.
5 . The display apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the binding member comprises tape.
6 . The display apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the binding member comprises at least one from among silicon, plastic and rubber.
7 . The display apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the plurality of signal groups are stacked with respect to each other.
8 . The display apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the two ground lines are disposed on a same plane.
9 . The display apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of signal lines are laterally joined with each other at the first connector and at the second connector.
10 . The display apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the flat cable further comprises a plurality of sheaths covering the plurality of signal lines, respectively.
11 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the display apparatus comprises a television.
12 . The display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the display unit comprises a panel driver to drive a display panel.
13 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first processing unit and the second processing unit are misaligned with one another along a predetermined direction on a plane along with the plurality of signal lines extend.
14 . A display apparatus comprising:
a first processing unit; a second processing unit; and a flat cable connecting the first processing unit and the second processing unit, the flat cable comprising:
a plurality of signal lines that are divided into a plurality of signal groups; and
a first connector and a second connector respectively provided at opposite ends of the plurality of signal lines and respectively connected to the first processing unit and the second processing unit,
wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups is divided from a second signal group via a first separable gap formed starting at least a distance from the first connector and ending at least a distance from the second connector on a first side of the at least one signal group, and is divided from a third signal group via a second separable gap formed starting at least a distance from the first connector and ending at least a distance from the second connector on a second side of the at least one signal group, wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups comprises two signal lines for transmitting a “+” signal and two signal lines for transmitting a “−” signal, and wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups comprises two ground lines.
15 . The display apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the first processing unit comprises a signal processor, and wherein the second processing unit comprises a display unit.
16 . The display apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of signal lines transmit a low voltage differential signaling signal.
17 . The display apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the flat cable further comprises a binding member which binds the plurality of signal groups and extends for only part of a length of the flat cable.
18 . The display apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the binding member comprises tape.
19 . The display apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the binding member comprises at least one from among silicon, plastic and rubber.
20 . The display apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the plurality of signal groups are stacked with respect to each other.
21 . The display apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the two ground lines are disposed on a same plane.
22 . The display apparatus of claim 21 , wherein the plurality of signal lines are laterally joined with each other at the first connector and at the second connector.
23 . The display apparatus of claim 22 , wherein the flat cable further comprises a plurality of sheaths covering the plurality of signal lines, respectively.
24 . The display apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the display apparatus comprises a television.
25 . The display apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the display unit comprises a panel driver to drive a display panel.
26 . The display apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the first processing unit and the second processing unit are misaligned with one another along a predetermined direction on a plane along with the plurality of signal lines extend.
27 . A display apparatus comprising:
a first processing unit; a second processing unit; and a flat cable connecting the first processing unit and the second processing unit, the flat cable comprising:
a plurality of signal lines that are divided into a plurality of signal groups; and
a first connector provided at a first end of the plurality of signal lines and connected to the first processing unit; and
a second connector provided at a second end of the plurality of signal lines and connected to the second processing unit,
wherein at least a portion of one signal group of the plurality of signal groups is spatially separable from a second signal group via a first slit formed on a first side of the at least one signal group, and is spatially separable from a third signal group via a second slit formed on a second side of the at least one signal group, wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups comprises two signal lines for transmitting a “+” signal and two signal lines for transmitting a “−” signal, and wherein at least one signal group of the plurality of signal groups comprises two ground lines.
28 . The display apparatus of claim 27 , wherein the first processing unit comprises a signal processor, and
wherein the second processing unit comprises a display unit.
29 . The display apparatus of claim 27 , wherein the plurality of signal lines transmit a low voltage differential signaling signal.
30 . The display apparatus of claim 29 , wherein the flat cable further comprises a binding member which binds the plurality of signal groups and extends for only part of a length of the flat cable.
31 . The display apparatus of claim 30 , wherein the binding member comprises tape.
32 . The display apparatus of claim 30 , wherein the binding member comprises at least one from among silicon, plastic and rubber.
33 . The display apparatus of claim 30 , wherein the plurality of signal groups are stacked with respect to each other.

35 . The display apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the plurality of signal lines are laterally joined with each other at the first connector and at the second connector.
