Abstract
Systems and methods to bridge communications between a client application and a web server are described herein. A network publication system is monitored. A bid submission for an item listing is detected, the item listing accessed from a web server by a client application. An alert associated with the detecting of the bid submission is provided. A communication with the web server is initiated, the communication including a response to the provided alert.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
monitoring a network publication system; detecting a bid submission for an item listing, the item listing accessed from a web server by a client application; providing an alert associated with the detecting of the bid submission; and initiating, using one or more processors, a communication with the web server, the communication including a response to the provided alert.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
detecting that a previous bid submitted by the client application has been outbid by the bid submission, wherein the providing the alert includes providing an indication that the previous bid submitted by the client application has been outbid by the bid submission.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the providing the alert includes causing display of a complementary interface on a client device that includes a message that informs a user of the client application to submit the response.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein:
the complementary interface includes a data entry portion to receive the response to the provided alert.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the response to the provided alert is a further bid in response to the bid submission for the item listing.
6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the causing the display of the complementary interface includes causing the display of the complementary interface over a portion of a client interface on the client device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication with the web server is in a first language other than HyperText Markup Language, the method further comprising:
translating the communication to HyperTextMarkup Language; and transferring the translated communication to the web server via a network.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the translating the communication to the HyperTextMarkup Language is based on a script that generates calls from the first language to the HyperTextMarkup Language.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the first language is a programming language including at least one of C, C++, Java script, or Adobe Integrated Runtime.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the providing the alert associated with the detecting of the bid submission includes generating an audio sound.
11 . A system comprising:
a complementary application communicatively coupled between a client application and a web server, the complementary application to, at least
monitor a network publication system,
detect a bid submission for an item listing, the item listing accessed from the web server by the client application,
provide an alert associated with the detecting of the bid submission, and
initiate a communication with the web server, the communication including a response to the provided alert.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the complementary application is further to detect that a previous bid submitted by the client application has been outbid by the bid submission, and provide an indication that the previous bid submitted by the client application has been outbid by the bid submission.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the complementary application is further to cause display of a complementary interface on a client device that includes a message that informs a user of the client application to submit the response.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the complementary interface includes a data entry portion to receive the response to the provided alert.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the response to the provided alert is a further bid in response to the bid submission for the item listing.
16 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the complementary application is further to cause the display of the complementary interface over a portion of a client interface on the client device.
17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein
the communication with the web server is in a first language other than HyperText Markup Language, the system further comprising:
a server interface to: translate the communication to HyperTextMarkup Language, and transfer the translated communication to the web server via the network.
18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the server interface is further to translate the communication to the HyperTextMarkup Language based on a script that generates calls from the first language to the HyperTextMarkup Language.
19 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the first language is a programming language including at least one of C, C++, Java script, or Adobe Integrated Runtime.
20 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
monitoring a network publication system; detecting a bid submission for an item listing, the item listing accessed from a web server by a client application; providing an alert associated with the detecting of the bid submission; and initiating a communication with the web server, the communication including a response to the provided alert.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
