Information processing system and information processing method

Abstract

An information processing system includes a terminal device and a server device. When recommending subsidiary contents, recommended contents are extracted at the server, and recommended content information is returned to the terminal device. At the terminal device, a recommendation order is set regarding the recommended contents which the recommended content information indicates, upon which the recommended contents are presented, such that recommended content extracting processing and recommendation order setting processing is dispersed among the server device and terminal device.

         8 . An information processing apparatus, comprising:
 at least one communication interface; and   processing circuitry configured to:
 receive, via the at least one communication interface, a first plurality of content items from a first client terminal; 
 generate a second content item using at least some of the first plurality of content items; 
 identify the second content item as recommended content based at least in part on previously received preferences of a second user; and 
 provide, via the at least one communication interface, the second content item to a second client terminal of the second user. 
   
     
     
         9 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to generate a third content item using at least some of the first plurality of content items. 
     
     
         10 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to receive, via the at least one communication interface, feedback data from at least the second user. 
     
     
         11 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 10 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to record preferences of the second user based on the feedback data received from the second user. 
     
     
         12 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the first plurality of content items and the second content item include video data. 
     
     
         13 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the first plurality of content items and the second content item include audio data. 
     
     
         14 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein providing the second content item to the second client terminal comprises sending, via the at least one communication interface, content data associated with the second content item. 
     
     
         15 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein providing the second content item to the second client terminal comprises sending, via the at least one communication interface, instructions indicating how to render the second content item. 
     
     
         16 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein identifying the second content item as recommended content comprises determining how many of the at least some of the first plurality of content items from which the second content was generated are stored by the second client terminal. 
     
     
         17 . The information processing apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein identifying the second content item as recommended content comprises determining how many of the at least some of the first plurality of content items from which the second content was generated are not stored by the second client terminal. 
     
     
         18 . A method, comprising:
 receiving, via at least one communication interface, a first plurality of content items from a first client terminal;   generating a second content item using at least some of the first plurality of content items;   identifying the second content item as recommended content based at least in part on previously received preferences of a second user; and   providing, via the at least one communication interface, the second content item to a second client terminal of the second user.   
     
     
         19 . At least one non-transitory computer readable medium comprising executable instructions that, when executed by an information processing apparatus, perform a method comprising:
 receiving, via at least one communication interface, a first plurality of content items from a first client terminal;   generating a second content item using at least some of the first plurality of content items;   identifying the second content item as recommended content based at least in part on previously received preferences of a second user; and   providing, via the at least one communication interface, the second content item to a second client terminal of the second user.
