Claims

Abstract

Certain embodiments of the invention may include a garment adaptable for self-donning and for donning by another onto a wearer. The garment may include two longitudinal panels. Each longitudinal panel may be operatively attached to each other. Each panel may have a waistband portion, a hip portion and a leg portion. Each longitudinal panel may terminate with a first and second cooperating and fastening material that may be disposed substantially along the longitudinal hip and leg portions. Each panel may be moveable between a substantially flat open position and a second closed wearable position where each first and second cooperating and fastening materials of each panel may join in the second closed wearable position. The cooperating and fastening material may include continuous strips of cooperating materials that may include mating components.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A Garment adapted for self-donning and for donning by another onto a wearer, comprising two longitudinal panels, each longitudinal panel is operatively attached to each other, each panel having a waistband portion, a hip portion and a leg portion, each longitudinal panel terminating with a first and second cooperating and fastening material disposed substantially along said longitudinal hip and leg portions, said each panel being moveable between a substantially flat open position and a second wearable closed position wherein said each first and second cooperating and fastening materials of said each panel join in said second wearable position. 
     
     
         2 . The garment of  claim 1  wherein said cooperating and fastening material includes continuous strips of cooperating materials including mating components. 
     
     
         3 . The garment of  claim 1  wherein said waistband portion includes at least one elastic element. 
     
     
         4 . The garment of  claim 1  further including at least one pocket. 
     
     
         5 . A garment adaptable for donning by medical staff onto a wearer and doffing by medical staff, the garment comprising two longitudinal panels, each longitudinal panel is operatively attached to each other, each panel having a waistband portion including elastic portion, a hip portion and a leg portion, said each panel being moveable between a substantially flat open position and a second wearable closed position wherein said each first and second cooperating and fastening materials of said each panel join in said second position. 
     
     
         6 . The garment of  claim 5  wherein said each longitudinal panel terminating with a first and second cooperating and fastening material disposed substantially along said longitudinal hip and leg portions. 
     
     
         7 . The garment of  claim 5  wherein the garment is adapted for use by patients wearing at least one medical device. 
     
     
         8 . The garment of  claim 5  wherein the garment is adapted for use by medical providers. 
     
     
         9 . A garment adaptable for donning and doffing by hospital staff onto a wearer, comprising a first and second portions operatively connected to each other, said portions being symmetrical across a longitudinal centerline, and moveable between a substantially flat state and a wearable state. 
     
     
         10 . The garment of  claim 9  further including a waist edge portion located at top of said first and said second portions and extending continuously transversely outwardly from said centerline, said waist edge including elastic element for providing adjustable fit around said waist edge. 
     
     
         11 . The garment of  claim 9  further including a fly closure extending downwardly from said waist edge. 
     
     
         12 . The garment of  claim 9  wherein said first portion further including crotch region located downwardly from said waist edge.
