mixing heated water with a highly soluble aromatic composition to form a heated aromatic mixture; adding the heated aromatic mixture to a container comprising a composition comprising a grain based product and a dry pet food palatant; and forming a final pet food product via mixing the composition comprising a grain based product and a dry pet food palatant and the heated aromatic mixture.

. The method of claim 1 , further comprising mixing the final pet food product with a dry pet food, wherein the dry pet food has a moisture content of approximately 10%.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the highly soluble aromatic composition comprises dried animal stock.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the dry pet food palatant comprises dried animal digest.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the grain based product comprises at least one of: whole or processed grain, animal protein meal, dried stock, nutritional supplement, dried vegetable product, dried fruit product, sugar, dried seaweed product, starch, gum, flavor enhancing compound, and aroma enhancing compound.

. The method of claim 5 , wherein the grain based product comprises a whole or processed grain and wherein the whole or processed grain is oatmeal.

. A method of preparing a pet food product, comprising:
placing a highly soluble aromatic composition in an upper portion of an appliance; placing a container having a composition comprising a grain based product and a dry pet food palatant in a lower portion of said appliance; mixing heated water with said highly soluble aromatic composition in said upper portion to form a heated aromatic liquid mixture; and catching said heated aromatic liquid mixture in said lower portion.

. The method of claim 7 , further comprising forming a final pet food product via mixing said heated aromatic liquid mixture and said composition comprising a grain based product and dry pet food palatant in said lower portion.

. The method of claim 7 , further comprising mixing the final pet food product with a dry pet food having a moisture content of approximately 10%.

. The method of claim 7 , wherein the highly soluble aromatic composition comprises dried animal stock.

. The method of claim 7 , wherein the grain based product is oatmeal.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the dry pet food palatant comprises dried animal digest.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the grain based product comprises at least one of: whole or processed grain, animal protein meal, dried stock, nutritional supplement, dried vegetable product, dried fruit product, sugar, dried seaweed product, starch, gum, flavor enhancing compound, and aroma enhancing compound.

. A method of preparing a pet food product, comprising:
heating a predetermined amount of water to a predetermined temperature; adding the predetermined amount of water to a container comprising a pet food product, wherein the pet food product comprises a highly soluble aromatic composition, a grain based product, and a dry pet food palatant; and forming a final pet food product via mixing the predetermined amount of water with the pet food product.

. The method of claim 14 , further comprising mixing the final pet food product with a dry pet food, wherein the dry pet food has a moisture content of approximately 10%.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the highly soluble aromatic composition comprises dried animal stock.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the dry pet food palatant comprises dried animal digest.

.
