Abstract
In the arrangement of a combustion system and a flue gas treatment system, the combustion system including a combustion chamber with at least an injector, a gas supply line connected to the at least an injector, a fuel supply line connected to the at least an injector. The gas supply line is connected to a source of compressed gas containing CO 2 .
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An arrangement of a combustion system and a flue gas treatment system,
the combustion system comprising a combustion chamber with at least an injector, a gas supply line connected to the at least an injector, a fuel supply line connected to the at least an injector, wherein the gas supply line is connected to a source of compressed gas containing CO 2 .
2 . The arrangement of claim 1 , wherein the source of compressed gas containing CO 2 is included in the arrangement.
3 . The arrangement of claim 1 , wherein the flue gas treatment system comprises
a multistage compressor for compressing the flue gas discharged from the combustion chamber, and the source of compressed gas containing CO 2 is a connection at an interstage of the multistage compressor.
4 . The arrangement of claim 1 , wherein the flue gas treatment system comprises
a compressor for compressing the flue gas discharged from the combustion chamber, at least a separation stage downstream of the compressor, for separating CO 2 from other gas contained in the flue gas, and the source of compressed gas containing CO 2 is a connection downstream of the compressor and upstream of the at least a separation stage.
5 . The arrangement of claim 1 , wherein the combustion chamber is an oxy-fuel combustion chamber.
6 . The arrangement of claim 1 , wherein the flue gas treatment system comprises at least a separation stage for separating CO 2 from other gas contained in the flue gas, and
the source of compressed gas containing CO 2 is a connection downstream of at least one of the separation stages.
7 . The arrangement of claim 6 , further comprising a heat exchanger for heating the CO 2 separated at the at least one separation stage by cooling the flue gas.
8 . The arrangement of claim 7 , wherein the flue gas treatment system comprises a compressor for compressing the flue gas discharged from the combustion system, wherein the heat exchanger is connected downstream of the compressor and upstream of the at least one separation stage.
9 . The arrangement of claim 1 , wherein the injector comprises at least a nozzle,
the at least a nozzle is connected to the gas supply line, for injecting the compressed gas containing CO 2 , and the at least a nozzle is connected to a side passage, which in turn is connected to the fuel supply line.
10 . A method for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber, the method comprising:
supplying a compressed gas containing CO 2 to at least an injector, supplying a fuel to the at least an injector, and injecting the compressed gas containing CO 2 and the fuel into the combustion chamber together.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein flue gas from the combustion chamber is compressed, wherein supplying a compressed gas containing CO 2 comprises withdrawing at least a part of the flue gas at an interstage during multistage compression.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein flue gas from the combustion chamber is compressed and then CO 2 is separated from other gas contained in the flue gas, wherein supplying a compressed gas containing CO 2 comprises withdrawing at least a part of the flue gas downstream of compression and upstream of the separation.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the flue gas originates from an oxy-fuel combustion process.
14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein flue gas from the combustion chamber is compressed and then CO 2 is separated from other gas of the flue gas, and
15 . wherein supplying the compressed gas containing CO 2 comprises withdrawing at least a part of the separated CO 2 .
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the injecting comprises
injecting the compressed gas containing CO 2 through at least a nozzle, and having the fuel drawn from the gas passing through the nozzle and injected from the nozzle together with the compressed gas containing CO 2 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
