Network management system supporting customizable groups
Abstract
Attribute values in a customized logical group definition are displayed to a user, each customized logical group definition being associated with a network that includes multiple network entities, and each of the multiple network entities having one or more associated attribute values. A user selection of one of the different attribute values is received, and a determination is made of one or more of the multiple network entities that have an associated attribute value that matches the user selected attribute value. Identifiers of each of the one or more network entities that have an associated attribute value that matches the user selected attribute value are displayed.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
identifying a utilization status of a network address space comprising at least one network address range, wherein the utilization status is an indication of how many network addresses in the network address range have been assigned to network devices; causing the utilization status to be displayed; receiving, via an input component, input to modify the network address space based on the identified utilization status; and modifying the network address space in accordance with the received input.
22 . The computer-implemented method according to claim 21 , wherein the utilization status displayed provides an indication as to whether the network address space is over-utilized or under-utilized, and wherein to indicate whether the network address space is over-utilized or under-utilized, the utilization status uses at least one of font types, font sizes, icons, animations, and color-coding.
23 . The computer-implemented method according to claim 21 , wherein the utilization status displayed provides an indication as to whether the network address range is over-utilized or under-utilized, and wherein to indicate whether the network address range is over-utilized or under-utilized, the utilization status uses at least one of font types, font sizes, icons, animations, and color-coding.
24 . The computer-implemented method according to claim 21 , wherein the received input to modify the network address space is a request to assign an additional network address range to the network address space, and the modifying adds the additional network address range to the network address space.
25 . The computer-implemented method according to claim 21 , wherein the utilization status is a percentage determined by dividing a number of network addresses in the address range that have been assigned to the network devices by a total number of network addresses in the address range.
26 . The computer-implemented method according to claim 21 , further comprising displaying the utilization status of the modified network address space.
27 . The computer-implemented method according to claim 21 , further comprising receiving a request to display the utilization status of the network address space.
28 . A system comprising:
a memory; and a processor operatively connected with the memory and configured to execute operations that comprise:
identifying a utilization status of a network address space comprising at least one network address range, wherein the utilization status is an indication of how many network addresses in the network address range have been assigned to network devices;
causing the utilization status to be displayed,
receiving, via an input component, input to modify the network address space based on the identified utilization status, and
modifying the network address space in accordance with the received input.
29 . The system according to claim 28 , wherein the utilization status displayed provides an indication as to whether the network address space is over-utilized or under-utilized, and wherein to indicate whether the network address space is over-utilized or under-utilized, the utilization status uses at least one of font types, font sizes, icons, animations, and color-coding.
30 . The system according to claim 28 , wherein the utilization status displayed provides an indication as to whether the network address range is over-utilized or under-utilized, and wherein to indicate whether the network address range is over-utilized or under-utilized, the utilization status uses at least one of font types, font sizes, icons, animations, and color-coding.
31 . The system according to claim 28 , wherein the received input to modify the network address space is a request to assign an additional network address range to the network address space, and the modifying adds the additional network address range to the network address space.
32 . The system according to claim 28 , wherein the utilization status is a percentage determined by dividing a number of network addresses in the address range that have been assigned to the network devices by a total number of network addresses in the address range.
33 . The system according to claim 28 , wherein the executed operations further comprising displaying the utilization status of the modified network address space.
34 . The system according to claim 28 , wherein the executed operations further comprising receiving a request to display the utilization status of the network address space.
35 . A computer-readable storage device including executable instructions, that when executed on at least one processor, causing the processor to perform a process comprising:
identifying a utilization status of a network address space comprising at least one network address range, wherein the utilization status is an indication of how many network addresses in the network address range have been assigned to network devices; causing the utilization status to be displayed; receiving, via an input component, input to modify the network address space based on the identified utilization status; and modifying the network address space in accordance with the received input.
36 . The computer-readable storage device according to claim 35 , wherein the utilization status displayed provides an indication as to whether the network address space is over-utilized or under-utilized, and wherein to indicate whether the network address space is over-utilized or under-utilized, the utilization status uses at least one of font types, font sizes, icons, animations, and color-coding.
37 . The computer-readable storage device according to claim 35 , wherein the utilization status displayed provides an indication as to whether the network address range is over-utilized or under-utilized, and wherein to indicate whether the network address range is over-utilized or under-utilized, the utilization status uses at least one of font types, font sizes, icons, animations, and color-coding.
38 . The computer-readable storage device according to claim 35 , wherein the received input to modify the network address space is a request to assign an additional network address range to the network address space, and the modifying adds the additional network address range to the network address space.
39 . The computer-readable storage device according to claim 35 , wherein the utilization status is a percentage determined by dividing a number of network addresses in the address range that have been assigned to the network devices by a total number of network addresses in the address range.
40 . The computer-readable storage device according to claim 35 , wherein the operations further comprising displaying the utilization status of the modified network address space.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
