Abstract

Described herein are unit oral solid dose compositions composed of (i) a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of naproxen at a dosage from 200 mg to 300 mg per dose composition and (ii) nizatidine or the pharmaceutically effective salt thereof at a dosage from 50 mg to 200 mg per dose composition, wherein the dose composition does not have an enteric coating.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . A unit oral solid dose composition comprising (i) a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of naproxen at a dosage from 200 mg to 300 mg per unit dose and (ii) nizatidine or the pharmaceutically effective salt thereof at a dosage from 50 mg to 200 mg per unit dose, wherein said composition does not have an enteric coating. 
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of the pharmaceutically acceptable salt of naproxen is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of the pharmaceutically acceptable salt of naproxen is 220 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of nizatidine or the pharmaceutically effective salt thereof is from 50 mg to 150 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of nizatidine or the pharmaceutically effective salt thereof is from 50 mg to 100 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         6 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises naproxen sodium and nizatidine. 
     
     
         7 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the dosage of naproxen sodium is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the dosage of naproxen sodium is 220 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         9 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the dosage of nizatidine is from 50 mg to 150 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         10 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the dosage of nizatidine is from 50 mg to 100 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         11 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the dosage of naproxen sodium is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit dose and the dosage of nizatidine is from 50 mg to 150 mg per unit dose. 
     
     
         12 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the dosage of naproxen sodium is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit dose and the dosage of nizatidine is from 50 mg to 100 mg per unit dose.
