Abstract
A cutting ring for quarrying, including a number of cutting inserts which are arranged in cutting insert grooves which extend continuously in an axial direction, allowing the cutting ring to be produced in a relatively simply manner and to have a long service life.

7 . A cutting ring for a cutting roller for quarrying, said cutting ring defining an axial direction and comprising a plurality of cutting inserts disposed in cutting insert seats, said cutting insert seats formed as cutting insert grooves that are continuous in the axial direction.
8 . The cutting ring of claim 7 , wherein said cutting inserts fill their respective cutting insert grooves completely and terminate outwardly flush with intermediate web portions formed between adjacent cutting insert grooves.
9 . The cutting ring of claim 7 , wherein said cutting inserts are disposed in a raised outer portion of said cutting ring.
10 . The cutting ring of claim 7 , wherein each said cutting insert groove has wedge insert surfaces that are inclined toward each other from radially inward to radially outward.
11 . The cutting ring of claim 7 , further comprising a solder layer present between each said cutting insert and each respective cutting insert groove.
12 . A cutting roller for quarrying, including at least one cutting ring of claim 7 .
13 . The cutting ring of claim 8 , wherein said cutting inserts are disposed in a raised outer portion of said cutting ring.
14 . The cutting ring of claim 8 , wherein each cutting insert groove has wedge insert surfaces that are inclined toward each other from radially inward to radially outward.
15 . The cutting ring of claim 9 , wherein each cutting insert groove has wedge insert surfaces that are inclined toward each other from radially inward to radially outward.
16 . The cutting ring of claim 8 , further comprising a solder layer present between each said cutting insert and each respective cutting insert groove.
17 . The cutting ring of claim 9 , further comprising a solder layer present between each said cutting insert and each respective cutting insert groove.
18 . The cutting ring of claim 10 , further comprising a solder layer present between each said cutting insert and each respective cutting insert groove.
19 . A cutting roller for quarrying, including at least one cutting ring of claim 8 .
20 . A cutting roller for quarrying, including at least one cutting ring of claim 9 .
