Abstract
Disclosed herein are teeth whitening compositions generally including an oxidizing agent (e.g., a peroxide), and an activating agent that has an emission wavelength between about 400 nm and about 570 nm (e.g., Eosin B). Methods of employing these compositions to whiten teeth, methods of making these compositions and kits that include some or part of the composition ingredients, arc also described.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A composition comprising:
about 1% to about 70% of an oxidizing agent; Eosin; and a carbomer.
22 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the composition further comprises an accelerating agent capable of accelerating radical generation.
23 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the accelerating agent is sodium perborate.
24 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the composition further comprises a stabilizing agent capable of stabilizing the oxidizing agent.
25 . The composition of claim 24 , wherein the stabilizing agent is sodium acetate.
26 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the pH of the composition is between 4 and 10.
27 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the composition does not generate heat upon exposure to actinic light.
28 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein exposure to actinic light results in an instantaneous and complete photochemical reaction.
29 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the oxidizing agent is hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide, or both.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
