Abstract

The problem of the present invention is to provide a protein hydrophilicity-increasing agent capable of effectively increasing water permeability of (swelling) hair, skin and the like while suppressing damages on the hair, skin and the like constituted of the protein. The present invention solves the problem by providing a protein hydrophilicity-increasing agent containing a protein-glutaminase, and a protein hydrophilicity-increasing agent containing both a protein-glutaminase and transglutaminase.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A cosmetic composition, comprising at least one protein-glutaminase.

. A cosmetic composition according to, claim 1 , wherein said at least one protein-glutaminase has a molecular weight of 10 to 40 kDa.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , which comprises said at least one protein-glutaminase in an amount of 0.00001 to 10 mass %, based on the total mass of the composition.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , wherein said at least one protein-glutaminase is derived from a bacterium belonging to the genus Chryseobacterium.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one transglutaminase.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 5 , which comprises said at least one transglutaminase in an amount of 0.001 to 2 mass %, based on the total mass of the composition.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 5 , wherein said at least one protein-glutaminase and said at least one transglutaminase are present in a mass ratio, glutaminase:transglutaminase, of from 1:1 to 1:10000.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one further component selected from the group consisting of an amino acid, an acylamino acid, an acylamino acid ester, an acylamino acid amide, a peptide, an acylpeptide, and a salt thereof.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 8 , which comprises said at least one further component in an amount of 0.005 to 50 mass %, based on the total mass of the composition.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one alcohol.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 10 , which comprises said at least one alcohol in an amount of 0.005 to 50 mass %, based on the total mass of the composition.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 10 , wherein said at least one alcohol is a saturated or unsaturated monovalent C 1-6 alcohol or a polyvalent alcohol.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , which is a skin cosmetic.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 1 , which is a hair cosmetic.

. A cosmetic composition according to claim 14 , wherein said hair cosmetic is a perming agent or a hair color agent.

. An agent for increasing the hydrophilicity of a protein, which comprises at least one protein-glutaminase and at least one alcohol.

. A method of increasing the hydrophilicity of a protein in hair or skin, comprising contacting said hair or skin with at least one protein-glutaminase.

. A permeation enhancer, comprising at least one protein-glutaminase.

. A method of enhancing the skin- or hair-permeation of an active ingredient contained in a cosmetic composition, comprising including at least one protein-glutaminase in said cosmetic composition.

. A method according to claim 19 , wherein said active ingredient is a transglutaminase.

. A method according to claim 19 , wherein said active ingredient is at least one member selected from the group consisting of an amino acid, an acylamino acid, an acylamino acid ester, an acylamino acid amide, a peptide, an acylpeptide, and a salt thereof.
