Abstract
An event processor accepts event representations that comprise perdurance and epistemological relationships among entities or entity references, and the event processor stores information derived from event representations in a datastore. A search component searches entities based on local epistemological and perdurance properties, and a perdurance engine traverses the perdurance relationships obtained from the datastore. An epistemological propagator generates derived epistemological relationships using the perdurance engine and local epistemological data obtained from the datastore.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 18 . (canceled)
19 . A system for propagating knowledge through perdurance, the system comprising:
an event processor, which processes perdurance and epistemological relationships of entities that forms a logical graph that admits multiple paths between two entities; a search component, which locates entities having common perdurance or local epistemological properties; a property queue, which receives the entities located by the search component; a perdurance engine, which returns a populated accumulator based on the traversal of given entities across events that satisfy a given traversal predicate; an epistemological propagator, which generates derived epistemological relationships using the perdurance engine according to propagation fields; property pipelines, which receives the derived epistemological relationships; an intersection engine, which identifies the entities that have common derived epistemological properties in the property pipelines.
20 . The system of claim 19 wherein the epistemological propagator derives derived relationships and probability distributions for the derived relationships.
21 . The system of claim 20 wherein the logical graph contains cycles and the perdurance engine includes a cycle detector operable to avoid infinite execution paths.
22 . The system of claim 21 wherein the epistemological propagators annotate derivations of relationships with citation graphs.
23 . The system of claim 22 wherein the citation graphs comprise perdurance paths relating to the derivations.
24 . The system of claim 23 wherein the epistemological propagator propagates intrinsic and extrinsic properties according to different propagation fields.
25 . The system of claim 24 wherein the perdurance relationships represent perdurance events that include entity emission, absorption, fission, fusion, creation, or destruction.
26 . The system of claim 25 wherein the perdurance relationships comprise time properties representing write time, report time, embargo time, or effective time.
27 . The system of claim 26 wherein probability distributions associated with a derived epistemological relationship are based on specified times and perdurance relationships.
28 . The system of claim 27 wherein probability distributions associated with derived epistemological relationships are based on specified times and perdurance paths.
29 . The system of claim 28 wherein probability distributions associated with derived epistemological relationships are based on aggregations of multiple perdurance paths.
30 . The system of claim 29 wherein probability distributions are determined by propagation mechanics specified in a declarative representation that supports the combination of propagation fields.
31 . The system of claim 30 further comprising a propagation mechanics learning engine operable to generate the propagation mechanics from local perdurance and epistemological data.
32 . The system of claim 31 wherein the intersection engine identifies entities that have epistemological properties with a characteristic probability distribution.
33 . The system of claim 32 wherein the events act as entities and event metadata is treated as epistemological relationships.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
