Abstract
An image display control device according to the present invention includes a display control unit, an obtaining unit, a drawing unit, a deleting unit, and an operating unit. The display control unit displays an image on a display device. The obtaining unit obtains contact position information or proximity position information of a drawing device, which is relative to a display area of the display device. The drawing unit generates a drawn image, compose a display image of an information processing apparatus with the drawn image, and displays the composite image on the display device. The deleting unit deletes the drawn image from the displayed image, and display on the display device. The operating unit operates the information processing apparatus. The drawing device switches and specifies a generation and deletion of the drawn image, and an operation of the information processing apparatus.

2 . An apparatus, comprising:
circuitry configured to: display an image based on a video signal, the video signal being sent from a computer external to the apparatus and being received through a video interface; receive a selection of a mode among a plurality of modes including at least a first mode and a second mode, the first mode being a mode for drawing on the displayed image based on a first user operation using a drawing device, and the second mode being a mode for controlling the computer from the apparatus based on a second user operation using the drawing device; while the first mode is selected, draw on the displayed image based on the first user operation using the drawing device; and while the second mode is selected, generate a signal based on a position of the drawing device, and send, to control the computer based on the second user operation using the drawing device, the generated signal to the computer through a USB interface.
3 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein
the plurality of modes further includes a third mode for deleting, based on a third user operation using the drawing device, a drawing drawn during the first mode, and the circuitry is further configured to, while the third mode is selected, delete, based on the third user operation using the drawing device, the drawing drawn during the first mode.
4 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the video interface includes a VGA interface.
5 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the video interface includes a HDMI interface.
6 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the signal is a computer mouse signal.
7 . A method for processing by an apparatus, the method comprising:
displaying an image based on a video signal, the video signal being sent from a computer external to the apparatus and being received through a video interface of the apparatus; while a first mode is selected, drawing on the displayed image based on a first user operation using a drawing device, the first mode being a mode for drawing on the displayed image based on the first user operation using the drawing device; switching the first mode to a second mode in response to receiving an instruction for selecting the second mode, the second mode being a mode for controlling the computer from the apparatus based on a second user operation using the drawing device; and while the second mode is selected, generating a signal based on a position of the drawing device and sending, to control the computer from the apparatus based on the second user operation using the drawing device, the generated signal to the computer through a USB interface of the apparatus.
