Abstract

A method, software, database and system for attribute partner identification and social network based attribute analysis are presented in which attribute profiles associated with individuals can be compared and potential partners identified. Connections can be formed within social networks based on analysis of genetic and non-genetic data. Degrees of attribute separation (genetic and non-genetic) can be utilized to analyze relationships and to identify individual who might benefit from being connected.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A computer program storage device readable by a computer and containing a set of instructions which, when read by the computer, causes execution of a method for identifying a disease state subgroup within an existing social network, the executable method comprising the steps of:
 a) receiving a set of candidate pangenetic and candidate non-pangenetic attributes, the set of candidate pangenetic and candidate non-pangenetic attributes being correlated with a disease state; b) accessing a database containing user attribute profiles including both pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes; c) identifying, within said database, a candidate subgroup of users having pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes correlated with the set of candidate pangenetic and candidate non-pangenetic attributes; d) transmitting a message containing an invitation to join the subgroup to at least one of the users in the candidate subgroup; e) receiving a message containing an acceptance to join the subgroup from at least one of the users in the candidate subgroup; and f) adding the at least one of the users in the candidate subgroup to the disease state subgroup.

2 . The computer program storage device of claim 1 , further containing instructions for execution of the additional steps of:
 g) receiving an additional candidate pangenetic and/or non-pangenetic attribute; and h) determining the correlation of the additional candidate pangenetic and/or non-pangenetic attribute within the pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes of the users in the disease state subgroup.

3 . The computer program storage device of claim 1 , further containing instructions for execution of the additional step of:
 g) determining degrees of separation between at least two members of the candidate subgroup based on the correlation of their pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes.

4 . The computer program storage device of claim 3 , further containing instructions for execution of the additional step of:
 h) generating a graphical display of the degree of separation between the at least two members of the candidate subgroup based on the correlation of their pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes.

5 . A computer program storage device readable by a computer and containing a set of instructions which, when read by the computer, causes execution of a method for creating associations between individuals within an existing social network, the executable method comprising the steps of:
 a) receiving a command from a first user to use a set of pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes as the basis for creating relationships; b) accessing a database containing user attribute profiles including both pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes; c) identifying, within said database, at least one second user having pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes correlated with the set of candidate pangenetic and candidate non-pangenetic attributes; and d) transmitting a message to the second user containing an invitation to form a relationship with the first user; e) receiving a message containing an acceptance from the second user; and f) forming a relationship between the first user and second user.

6 . The computer program storage device of claim 5 , further containing instructions for execution of the additional step of:
 g) identifying, within said database, at least one third user having pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes correlated with the set of candidate pangenetic and candidate non-pangenetic attributes; and h) transmitting a message to the third user containing an invitation to form a relationship with the first user; i) receiving a message containing an acceptance from the third user; and j) forming a relationship between the first user and the third user.

7 . The computer program storage device of claim 6 , further containing instructions for execution of the additional step of:
 g) determining a degree of separation between the first user and second user based on the correlation of their pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes.

8 . The computer program storage device of claim 7 , further containing instructions for execution of the additional step of:
 h) generating a graphical display of the degree of separation between the first user and the second user based on the correlation of their pangenetic and non-pangenetic attributes.
