Abstract

An apparatus has a display for an operation operated by an application program. The apparatus includes an operation screen displayer that displays an operation screen in the display. The application program is an object to be operated in the operation screen. The apparatus also includes a rule violation displayer that displays that a rule violation has occurred in the display, the rule violation occurring when a processing request from the application program exceeds a predetermined allowable range of an operation condition. A manager switches the display, by the rule violation displayer, from the operation screen to a screen showing a rule violation notice that the rule violation has occurred, in response to the processing request, if it is determined that the processing request is the rule violation based on information as to an operation authority permitted to the application program.

Claims

 display a first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided the display authorization;
notify the second application that the first application does not satisfy a predetermined condition to be operated by the electronic apparatus; and
display a second screen on the display based on the screen information of the second application that has been notified.

3 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display the second screen so as to superpose with a screen that has been displayed in the display.

4 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the second screen is a dialog screen including information indicating that the predetermined condition is not satisfied.

5 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein
the screen information of the second application includes information regarding an error that occurs in the first application, and the circuitry is configured to:
notify the second application of the error of the first application; and
display an error display dialog screen on the display based on the screen information of the second application.

6 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein
the screen information of the second application includes information regarding a predetermined rule violation that occurs when the first application executes a process, and the circuitry is configured to:
notify the second application of the predetermined rule violation that occurs when the first application executes the process; and
display a rule violation dialog screen on the display based on the screen information of the second application.

7 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display the first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided with the display authorization so as to occupy the display when the predetermined operation is a switching operation.

8 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display an error message display screen indicating a reason of abnormal state when the first application that has been provided with the display authorization is in the abnormal state.

9 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 7 , wherein
the first application includes determination information to determine whether the first application has a predetermined GUI, and the circuitry is configured to display a screen based on the determination information of the first application when the first application that has been provided with the display authorization is in a normal state.

10 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the circuitry is configured to:
display a screen based on the predetermined GUI if the first application that has been provided with the display authorization has the predetermined GUI, and display a screen indicating a characteristic of the first application if the determination information indicates that the first application does not have the predetermined GUI.

11 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 7 , wherein when the predetermined operation is the switching operation, the first screen includes a task bar to switch to the first screen based on screen information of other first applications.

12 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display the first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided with the display authorization so as to superpose with the operation screen when the predetermined operation is an activation of the first application.

13 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display the first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided with the display authorization so as to superpose with the operation screen when the predetermined operation is a termination operation of the first application.

14 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display the first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided with the display authorization so as to superpose with the operation screen when the predetermined operation is an installation operation of the first application.

15 . The electronic apparatus as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is configured to display the first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided with the display authorization so as to superpose with the operation screen when the predetermined operation is an uninstallation operation of the first application.

16 . An information processing method that is executed by an electronic apparatus having a first application and a second application, each of the first application and the second application including screen information for generating a screen that is displayed in a display of the electronic apparatus, said method including the steps of:
detecting the first application that is selected based on an operation screen for a predetermined operation to operate the first application displayed in the display; providing the first application that was detected with a display authorization to display a screen on the display; controlling the first application to display a first screen based on the screen information of the first application that has been provided the display authorization; notifying the second application that the first application does not satisfy a predetermined condition to be operated by the electronic apparatus; and controlling the second application to display a second screen on the display based on the screen information of the second application that has been notified.
