Abstract

A masonry reinforcement structure having cords. The cords are oriented parallel or substantially parallel in the length direction of the masonry reinforcement structure. Additionally, a method of manufacturing such masonry reinforcement structure and to a roll having such a masonry reinforcement structure.

         16 . A bed joint masonry reinforcement structure having a length direction, said masonry reinforcement structure comprising at least two cords, said cords comprising metal filaments that are twisted together, said cords being oriented parallel or substantially parallel in said length direction of said masonry reinforcement structure. 
     
     
         17 . The bed joint masonry reinforcement structure according to  claim 16 , wherein said metal filaments comprise steel filaments. 
     
     
         18 . The bed joint masonry reinforcement structure according to  claim 16 , wherein said cords are coupled to a substrate. 
     
     
         19 . The bed joint masonry reinforcement structure according to  claim 18 , wherein said cords are coupled to said substrate by gluing. 
     
     
         20 . The bed joint masonry reinforcement structure according to  claim 18 , wherein said cords are coupled to said substrate by at least one yarn. 
     
     
         21 . The bed joint masonry reinforcement structure according  claim 16 , wherein said cords are integrated in a woven structure, a knitted structure or a non-woven structure. 
     
     
         22 . The bed joint masonry reinforcement structure according to  claim 16 , wherein said cords are embedded in a polymer material. 
     
     
         23 . A method to manufacture a bed joint masonry reinforcement structure as defined in  claim 16 , said method comprising the steps of
 providing at least two cords, said cords comprising twisted filaments;   manufacturing a masonry reinforcement structure comprising said at least two cords, said at least two cords being oriented parallel or substantially parallel in the length direction of said masonry reinforcement structure.   
     
     
         24 . The method according to  claim 23 , wherein said manufacturing of said bed joint masonry reinforcement structure comprises the steps of
 providing a substrate;   coupling said at least two cords to said substrate in a substantially parallel direction in the length direction of said structure.   
     
     
         25 . The method according to  claim 23 , wherein said manufacturing of said bed joint masonry reinforcement structure comprises the integration of said at least two cords are integrated in said structure during the manufacturing of said structure. 
     
     
         26 . The method according to  claim 25 , wherein said manufacturing of said bed joint masonry reinforcement comprises embedding said at least two cords in a polymer material. 
     
     
         27 . The method according to  claim 25 , wherein said manufacturing of said bed joint masonry reinforcement structure comprises integrating said at least two cords in a woven structure, a knitted structure or a non-woven structure. 
     
     
         28 . A roll of a bed joint masonry reinforcement structure as defined in  claim 16 , said masonry reinforcement structure being wound to form said roll. 
     
     
         29 . A method to install a bed joint masonry reinforcement structure as defined in masonry, said method comprising the steps of
 providing masonry comprising at least one layer of units or bricks;   uncoiling a masonry reinforcement structure as defined in  claim 16 ;   installing said masonry reinforcement structure in a joint on the upper surface of the last layer of units or bricks;   providing the next layer of units or brick on said joint.   
     
     
         30 . A masonry reinforced with at least one bed joint masonry reinforcement structure, said masonry comprising a number of layers of units or bricks and joints between two neighbouring layers of bricks, whereby at least one joint of said masonry is reinforced with a bed joint masonry reinforcement structure as defined in  claim 16 .
