Abstract

According to an example, a computer may receive characteristics information of an object in a video stream captured by a first computing device, generate a signature based on the characteristics information, identify an augmented reality information associated with the signature, transmit the augmented reality information to the first computing device, receive, from a second computing device, a set of characteristics information of the object in an image captured by the second computing device, determine that the set of characteristics information from the second computing device has a second signature that matches the signature generated based on the characteristics information received form the first computing device, and transmit the identified augmented reality information to the second computing device.

         15 . A computing device comprising:
 a display;   a processor; and   a memory on which is stored machine readable instructions that are to cause the processor to:
 capture an image of an object; 
 generate characteristics information of the image based on the object; 
 transmit the characteristics information to a server computer, wherein the server computer is to identity an augmented reality information that is associated with another characteristics information of the object received by the server computer from another computing device, wherein the another characteristics information corresponds to the characteristics information; 
 receive the augmented reality information from the server computer; and 
 display the augmented reality information on the display. 
   
     
     
         16 . The computing device according to  claim 15 , wherein the machine readable instructions are further to cause the processor to display the augmented reality information within a boundary area of the display. 
     
     
         17 . The computing device according to  claim 15 , wherein the machine readable instructions are further to cause the processor to associate the characteristics information with an augmented reality information identifier and to transmit the augmented reality information identifier to the server computer. 
     
     
         18 . The computing device according to  claim 15 , wherein the another computing device is to receive the augmented reality information from the server computer and wherein the machine readable instructions are further to cause the processor to receive the augmented reality information from the server computer in a time synchronized manner with the another computing device. 
     
     
         19 . The computing device according to  claim 15 , wherein the machine readable instructions are further to cause the processor to:
 receive a plurality of candidate augmented reality information from the server computer;   display the received plurality of candidate augmented reality information on the display;   receive a selection of one of the displayed plurality of candidate augmented reality information; and   transmit the selection of the one of the displayed plurality of candidate augmented reality information.   
     
     
         20 . The computing device according to  claim 15 , further comprising:
 a global positioning system (GPS) to determine a geographic location of the computing device; and   wherein the machine readable instructions are further to cause the processor to transmit the determined geographic location of the computing device to the server computer.   
     
     
         21 . The computing device according to  claim 15 , wherein the server computer is to generate a signature of the characteristics information and another signature of the another characteristics information, and wherein the another characteristics information corresponds to the characteristics information in that the another signature matches the signature. 
     
     
         22 . A method for displaying augmented reality information on a display of a computing device, said method comprising:
 capturing an image of an object;   generating, by a processor, characteristics information of the image based on the object;   transmitting the characteristics information to a server computer, wherein the server computer is to identity an augmented reality information that is associated with another characteristics information of the object received by the server computer from another computing device, wherein the another characteristics information corresponds to the characteristics information;   receiving the augmented reality information from the server computer; and   displaying the augmented reality information on the display.   
     
     
         23 . The method according to  claim 22 , further comprising:
 associating the characteristics information with an augmented reality information identifier; and   transmitting the augmented reality information identifier to the server computer.   
     
     
         24 . The method according to  claim 22 , further comprising:
 receiving a plurality of candidate augmented reality information from the server computer;   displaying the received plurality of candidate augmented reality information on the display;   receiving a selection of one of the displayed plurality of candidate augmented reality information; and   transmitting the selection of the one of the displayed plurality of candidate augmented reality information.   
     
     
         25 . The method according to  claim 22 , further comprising:
 determining a geographic location of the computing device; and   transmitting the determined geographic location of the computing device to the server computer.   
     
     
         26 . The method according to  claim 22 , wherein the server computer is to generate a signature of the characteristics information and another signature of the another characteristics information, and wherein the another characteristics information corresponds to the characteristics information in that the another signature matches the signature. 
     
     
         27 . The method according to  claim 22 , wherein the another computing device is to receive the augmented reality information from the server computer and wherein receiving the augmented reality information from the server computer further comprises receiving the augmented reality information from the server computer in a time synchronized manner with the another computing device. 
     
     
         28 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium on which is stored machine readable instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to:
 capture an image of an object;   generate characteristics information of the image based on the object;   transmit the characteristics information to a server computer, wherein the server computer is to identity an augmented reality information that is associated with another characteristics information of the object received by the server computer from another computing device, wherein the another characteristics information corresponds to the characteristics information;   receive the augmented reality information from the server computer; and   display the augmented reality information on a display.   
     
     
         29 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium according to  claim 28 , wherein the another computing device is to receive the augmented reality information from the server computer and wherein the machine readable instructions are further to cause the processor to receive the augmented reality information from the server computer in a time synchronized manner with the another computing device to cause the augmented reality information to be synchronously displayed on both the computing device and the another computing device.
